I have over 50 tomato plants-planted. I will be busy when it is time to harvest.

My Gosh!!! Fifty tomato plants? Even if each plant only grew three tomatoes that would be a lot of tomatoes!

I wonder how many gallons of mayonnaise you would have to have to use with all those tomatoes?

Hey everyone! Good Morning. I thought I'd better get on here while I have a good signal n the WiFi.

Yesterday I was given new travel trailering orders by Mrs. Commander in Chief. She has decided we will go to Uvalde, Texas and enjoy the vast pleasures of the Frio River. From there, we can do a day trip to visit her cousin. And after we have tired of Uvalde, we can go on over to Mason, Texas where she will do her rock hunting or rock hounding. I forget what kind of rock she looks for there. But they look like rocks to me.

Now in the area around Mason they just happen to grow grapes and make some excellent pricey wines. Although I don't drink often I do enjoy good wine, good single malt scotch and sometimes a good beer. Fredericksburg, which is near Mason, just happens to have a nice micro-brewery right there in their own little bar and sandwich place. I kinda feel compelled to visit those places to do my part to support the local economy.

So, that will give me a little bit of something to do. Oh, and in Mason we can fish the Llano River as we'll be camping right along side of it. I just happen to have a couple rods and reels with me.

Now, here''s the big change in plans. I don't know how long we'll stay at Mason, but at some point we'll go on home and leave the trailer at the RV Park there. DW will then collect two of the daughters and the three of them (no kids) will return to Mason and spend a week together there. Its been a long time since they've been able to get together like this so I think its a real good plan.

Then, after they spend their week together and return home, wifey and I will return to Mason, she can do some more rock hunting if she wishes and I'll resume drinking their good wines. And fishing.

When we tire of that we can then just pull the travel trailer on home and the adventure will be completed.

Oh, and you know I don't sit around and invent ideas like this. Only a wife could..............

Anyhow, I'm playing along for the sake of peace in the family.

    What choice do I have?

    TT

LOL, once again I have double posted trying to get this thing to upload my post. So, in case you missed it, here's a copy of my post from last night ...

Hey, I finally got those pics of Mt. Lemmon uploaded to protomucket. Here's the link. LOL, I'll probably get one of those little circles by my name for putting links in here ... I don't think we're supposed to do that. Well, that way I guess there will be a whole bunch more people reading my posts and personally, I think that is real nice.

A couple comments about the pics. It was nice to see the saguaro cactus blooming and DW can seemingly find a flower growing just about anywhere! These pics are good memories for me, but just looking at mountain scenery is kinda boring unless you know the place and how beautiful it really is. So check them out at your own risk.

Its one of those things where you have to be there to smell the clean, dry air and the sunshine and see the majesty of the place for yourself. Pictures truly do not do it justice.

    Hi TT and oly :)

oly, I am sorry to hear that your sister is going through so much but glad to know that things seem to be looking a little better for her. Please know that I am keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

TT, I suspect that when Mrs TT and the girls take their little vacation, it will be a nice little break for you too lol Glad to hear that you are both having so much fun!

Oh My Gosh ...YES!!!!! It will be a wonderful little break for me! WooooHoooo!!!! And you know I'm always on my best behavior when I'm unsupervised!!!

Actually, since we've been to and seen just about everything in this part of the country and been on every dirt road in this part of the State, we probably would have left sooner - like today. But, they are calling for high winds through Friday so we've decided to leave Saturday. Pulling a 38 foot trailer through these canyons with high winds might be a little more excitement than I need.

There's a little stand over south of Benson, AZ that sells pistachios, walnuts and pecans, all locally grown and very fresh. So I think we'll run over there today and pick up a bunch of those and maybe make our obligatory WallyMart stop since that's where the nearest one is at.

DW said she had a big load of laundry to do, so I guess we'll take care of that today too. Exciting stuff!! But we're enjoying the change of weather, scenery and climate - especially the clean, dry air here. That lucky kgj get to enjoy it all year round!

And I never get tired of seeing the desert and mountains.

They put a smile on my face!

I remember how the air was in Vegas. Opened our sinuses right up. We had to drink water by the gallons though because the air was so much drier then what we are used to.

It was weird not to sweat in temps over 100 degrees lol

I know what you mean salem.

There's days back home when you can walk out of the house in the morning and be drenched by the time you walk to your vehicle. In mid-summer when the temps and humidity are sky high, its really miserable in East Texas. It drains the strength right out of you along with the desire to do anything.

I'd give anything to live out here full time.

I also remember being able to smell everything so clearly that some of those tram rides were rough. Not all cultures in the world believe in wearing deodorant

Yeah, I ask my wife to wear that deodorant all the time.

    I don't need it, personally.

    I always smell like roses!

LOL, TT. They were having an Asian convention in Vegas when we were there. Many different cultures just don't like wearing chemicals but the smell can be offensive to those of us that do.

Of course, DH is not the type to bite his tongue so everytime that he took his hand away from his nose and mouth he just had to announce the fact that some people needed deodorant up in there.:laugh::laugh::laugh: It was bad.

That's exactly how it is on the coast here. Feels like you get slapped in the face with a wet blanket as soon as you walk out of the house. It is not quite as bad as far as humidity where we are now. In the foothills.
But, the air is horrible here without the ocean breezes to keep it circulating. That is why so many people have a bad time with allergies here.
