Good Morning TT-housemates! I hope everyone has a great weekend. DH and I are starting a backyard renovation today. I'll try to pop in when I can over the next 4 days, but I plan on being busy on the yard during the day and probably will be comatose in the evenings, LOL. TT, I'm glad to hear you are having fun!! You deserve some rest and relaxation from all the work you usually do, ha ha! :D

HI Jerry and tg. :)

I understand the yard project. We are making a 12 x 12 dog kennel escape proof which entails digging and removing dirt and concert!! It really doesn't have to be done until October so we got plenty of time. :)

Don't over do tg!

I'm finding it takes a lot less time and work to over-do than it used to, jj!! What happened to my strength and vitality???

Two house dogs and two outside dogs. The outside dogs usually hang out at the barn, but if anybody comes to the house they are in front of them immediately. Smart dogs though, they know who are friends or relatives and who are strangers.

Strangers usually don't get out of their vehicle. The dogs won't hurt them, they just look and sound intimidating.

Now after dark is a different story. They are an Australian Shepard and a Blue Heeler and they are not fond of people coming around at night. We have a long driveway with "Driveway Alert" motion detectors that sound in the house when anyone is coming in, so usually, we can be on the front porch - or at least at the door before they get to the house.

Our Schnauzer seems to have exceptional hearing and most of the time he announces visitors well before they pass the first Driveway Alert.

I'd sure hate to live that far out in the country without our dogs.

Or my wife.

To protect me!

TT
