Hey TT,, Ya gotta take some pics of them rocks and diamonds and gold that Mrs. TT found.

Wifey got some kind of mild acid to clean her rocks with. As soon as she does it I'll get pics of them. Right now they have a lot of that red Arkansas dirt sticking to them and the mild acid solution cleans all that off and makes them pretty.

But its all crystals ... no diamonds or gold. Darn it.

Morning all.

Glad Mrs. T is home and I'm sure you will survive a day without mowing.
If I can remember, I'll get on my 4wheeler tomorrow and get some pics of our stoopid yard.

You won't believe how much I have to mow, just right here at the house!!

I was just thinking about going out and getting on my 4wheeler now, but I was just watching the news and the rain is almost on top of us.

I don't like to get caught in the rain because my wife tells me that I'm so sweet that I'd melt.

I even stand sideways in the shower so that I don't get too wet all at one time.

I don't wanna melt.

TT

Afternoon all. Just got back from doing some chores and taking the kids to lunch. Let me just say I'm glad summer vacation only comes once a year...just a shame it sticks around so long lol.

TT, I can see why you avoid the water....I've always heard oil and water don't mix to well :D

LOL, you have me confused with my wife.

She's the one that works up in town at the Lube Rack changing oil and greasing cars. She comes home so covered with oil and grease that one time I gave her a big bear hug and she nearly splattered all over the ceiling! I'd never seen anything like it!!!

You can still see the marks she left up there that day.

Now me ... I'm just sugary sweet. Or so I'm told. And I believe it.

Well I just got back from the Dr. all went well (I guess) kidneys are just fine, and that most people my age have those cysts. The stabbing back pain seems to be from pinched nerves in the lower back and may come and go but if they come just take a pain pill.

So sorry to hear about the pinched nerves.

No, No,,, of all the stuff that it could have been that is the least of my worries.
But thanks of course. The back pain is some of the worst I have ever had but it only last about 15 seconds and would go away for 10 to 20 min.s for 3 or 4 days the not at all for 3 or 4 days. Doc. gave me a muscle relaxant (Flexeril). until it either stops or requires something else.

Well I'm sure glad to hear your kidney's are okay Gummy Bear. That's great news.

Can I ask a question ... just out of curiosity? Did the doctor use the term "pinched nerve?"

I guess the reason I'm asking is that there are so many things that can cause that to happen ... I'd almost think he'd want to investigate this further.

When I asked him if I understood correctly that my kidneys were not causing the pain and that it was just because of a pinched nerve he said "Yes, that's correct, It's a Muskuloskeletal issue".
So I used the term and he agreed with that.

Well, as long as your kidney's aren't involved that's the important part. I just wondered if your doctor was going to refer you to another doctor to see if anything could be done about this pain that you do experience.

Hey oly, you said that you "had" a pinched nerve in your neck. Did the doctors do something to fix it or do you still have that problem.

I've never had a problem like that and I think I could easily live without it.

I had a herniated disk that ruptured and compressed the nerves. I had a spinal fusion to fix it. Waking up after the surgery was amazing, being free of that pain.

Oly, you are very lucky. The success rate for fusions is fairly low. I know so many people that were in so more pain after a fusion than they were before the fusion :( I have talked to some that had success but they were few and far between. Also, many times after you have one level fused it puts more pressure on the levels below and they start giving you trouble. I know that sometimes there just is no other choice for some folks. My doc says the only time he believes in fusion is if you fall off the side of a mountain and break your back. Hopefully one day with medical advancements, there will be other options available.

Gummy, I hope that you are able to get some relief soon.
