Uh oh...that is never good news.
I am guessing everything went above the estimate? And there were lotsa of problems they didn't anticipate?

    Or???

Well the well was close to 2k over what we were expecting. That wasn't to awfully bad til we discovered we need foundation work done.

Not too bad? And then to find you need foundation work done?

    Ouch. BIG ouch. :(

Sigh...it's always something, isn't it? Meh.

Yes it is. Well we were expecting more on the well. The estimate was given on the across the road neighbors well and they're all very different. The foundation wasn't expected but we shall survive. Yep it seems there's always something...........

Bah. Yes it is. And we've all come to learn about estimates, like you noted, expecting them to be off and never in our favor.
The foundation thing an unpleasant deal, for sure. But necessary I imagine.

    This too shall pass...

Hi Gummy, how are you feeling?

A lot better than last month, just stiff and sore now. Spent the last 3 hours filling out some paperwork for the Socialable skueratees.
and dodging tornadoes for the past 2 days.
We had some damage on our block but I had no damage (so far)
A few trees down, the guy across the street lost part of his wooden fence. and debris all over the hood.
