Hey guys, lurked for years here but never posted before. Been DIY juicing for 2 years now due to my 15-20ml/day consumption. I stared using NN nicotine and flavoring, and never really looked elsewhere since I found a combination there that I liked. I have been vaping the same flavor as an ADV since then, with boutique bottles every now and then to wake up my taste buds.

Anyways, NN ran out of one of my required flavors, and is not sure when they will have it back in stock as it is hard to make apparently. So in the meantime I purchased this 140 flavor pack from TFA with 15ml bottles for each flavor. I have 3000ml of 3mg Nic base at 70/30 vg/pg on the way that will be here Monday for my next batch.

Usually I make 2400-3000ml at a time of my ADV flavor (I call it gushers) but for this project I am probably going to be making 30ml batches of each recipe to narrow down what I like and don't like.

Current flavor pallet likes in no order:
Sour
Fruit
Juice
Candy

Not really a fan of:
Custard
Donuts
Cereal
Creams
Cakes

HOWEVER, for the sole purpose of this experiment me and my wife will be vaping all different recipes to find a few to make our ADV more variable. We are willing to try any flavor recipes you guys recommend, including those that we traditionally wouldn't actively look for.

I will be making 120ml total at a time, so 4 flavors per batch at 30ml, from what feedback I get here. Help a couple out plz.

P.S. I know there are a billion posts about recipes, but I am specifically targeting this flavoring pack from TFA and thought this might make a good post for newbies or people looking to buy this pack as well.

P.P.S. Please don't flame me for my 3mg base purchase, or my flavor likes/dislikes. We are all different and like different things, and I have kids and know first hand what 100mg nic can do to you if you aren't super careful. Just trying to make things easy for me, so I can get back to vaping and enjoying life. Cheers.

Because you know what you and your wife like, and you've got the huge variety of flavorings...I'd suggest you go take a look at 2 specific threads/discussions in this same DIY E-Liquid Forum:

Recipes for Dummies - Thread that was started to help newbies to DIY make some recipes that were "tried and true" according to ECF members. There are many recipes posted to browse through, with comments on many of them, suggestions on possible tweaks for them, etc.

The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread
- Many, many recipes using mostly TFA flavorings. Some recipes have a few flavorings by CAP, FW, FA, etc., included in them too, but the majority of them are TFA only.

IMO, many of the same recipes that people would post here...are already in 1 or both of those threads. So, pull up a chair, or 2 so your wife has 1, too, and have some fun checking them out. There are many in those 2 threads that are wonderful, IMO!

I would like to add you should make 10ml test samples of any new recipes you attempt. 30ml's is a lot of juice to pour down the drain in the event you don't like the results. I would also finish vaping that 10ml sample before you mix that big batch because you may find what tasted good that evening does not taste as good the next morning.

Thanks for the threads JCinFLA. I did dive into both of those a bit, and just from the sheer volume of recipes I seem to be getting overwhelmed. I did find some great recipes in the beginning of RforD so I saved those, but after 9 pages I am finding a lot of people either not using TFA, or not using all TFA flavorings. I had hope that there would be more SandV recipes using TFA only, which is why I posted this thread.

As far as the TFAFT, holy 750+ pages batman. I am on page 12 and only found 1 recipe that I thought I would like. I am willing to try others though, but it is going to take me awhile to get through everything. I'm a slow read lol.

Dannyv45, thanks for the comment, but I am forcing myself to make 30mL batches because of my consumption, and my work habits. I work 10-12 hours a day, and normally bring 30-60mL with me. Because I do not have the ability to go home and grab stuff during work hours, I have to carry what I need to use. I would rather have 2 30mL bottles instead of 6 10mL bottles. Plus, it gives me an excuse to try a flavor for more than a couple minutes to decide if I really like something. I have bought many that I tasted and thought I liked, only to find out 15-20mLs in that I can't ADV it. Just a personal preference though.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Wish I could help you out with recipe ideas but we have reverse likes of flavors. Getting 140 pack may be a good idea because you are using high quantities of e liquid and may need to devote your time to other issues.

Thanks BrotherBob. I am happy to finally have joined the party lol. As far as the reverse tastes, I am ok with trying new things and experimenting. Go ahead and drop me your favorite recipe and I will brew some up in honor.

I would probably just front line the flavors that sound like your favorites. Then second line your back notes.

That should give you a good stable to start going with. 4-7% on the primary and 2-4% on the additionals.

The world is your TFA oyster, have fun and good luck!

I hope so CagedSpam! I already started opening and smelling all my flavors since the package of them got dropped off yesterday. Only made it through 2 rows, or about 14 flavors, but I admit I am fond of the fruity flavors like mango and blackberry. I know I want to make some kind of cheesecake flavor for my wife but not sure what to mix in it yet.

Welcome @trippvail and I hope you enjoy your stay!

I also found that I need at least a 15ML or larger for a tester and have gone up to 30ML now. Leaves room in the bottle for tweaking and also gives me the opportunity for to age and infuse a bit longer in the event I rushed it when taste testing. I could not imagine getting 140 flavors at one time though because of the possible combinations it would be hard to figure out where to start! Just my opinion and good luck with your experiment! Looking forward to updates as you progress and report on the results!

I can certainly understand the predicament working long hours causes and it certainly sounds like larger test samples works for you. Welcome to ECF and keep at it and always know help can be found right here.

Hi and welcome @trippvail!
I had hope that there would be more SandV recipes using TFA only, which is why I posted this thread.
I'm sorry, not trying to mock if it is a typo, but what is a "SandV recipe?" I am ignorant to the term. :)
As far as the TFAFT, holy 750+ pages batman. I am on page 12 and only found 1 recipe that I thought I would like. I am willing to try others though, but it is going to take me awhile to get through everything. I'm a slow read lol.
There are two TFA threads; the general discussion thread (found in this DIY e-liquid sub-forum), and the the TFA recipe thread which is one more sub-forum down in E-liquid Recipes. Here is a link:
TPA/TFA Recipes only!
I am afraid it is another long one; but it is much more recipe focused. There may be the occasional non-TFA flavor (esp. in more recent posts), as many of us have found that there may be a better version of a specific flavor, but for the most part it should be TFA dominant.

I also wanted to ask where you found the 140 pack? I scoured TFA's site (even the wholesale section) and didn't see it. I did find the smaller packs but didn't see the 140.

Finally, as to your recipe request, I read your preferences; but what fruit flavors do the two of you gravitate toward? TFA offers a bunch! The more detail you are willing to share; the more useful our suggestions might (;)) be.
Glad you decided to take part in our community! :toast:

Here you go ...Box of 140 15ml Bottles

I found it by typing 140 in the search box :D

Just clicking the link wouldn't let me see them. I had to log in to my wholesale acct., then put 140 in the Search box. Once the Search fields came up, I had to go to the By Category field and choose: The Flavor Apprentice - World of Flavors - Bulk Sizes (2). Then it popped up that box of 140 as 1 of the 2 things in that category. Clicked on it to get to it.

That's strange. I just logged into my wholesale account. Typed 140 in the search box. scrolled down to the 140 deal. Clicked on it and wa-la....There I was. At least we can get there and that is all that matters in the end :)

I too make larger than 10 ml bottles when first trying a recipe.
I've liked most of them. It takes me awhile vaping to decide
if I like something or not, and I only buy flavoring in my profile
of likes, so it works out. Of those few I absolutely don't like
and know it from the first vape - I can usually zip those up to
make it vapeable. Good luck!

Hey everyone, thanks for the comments. Not sure why I never got notification that you guys were posting, or where my reply to SteveS45 and DannyV45 (relation, or coincidence???) went to, but here is a reply to everyone's comments.

The 140 pack is most certainly a wholesalers package, and I had to sign up as one to see it as well. I liked the idea of trying out what TFA has to offer and as such decided to order that one. It is very overwhelming to say the least.

SandV does indeed stand for Shake and Vape. That is usually the route I choose to go with my fluid, but am open to letting it steep for awhile as long as it gets me the flavor I want. You will notice I am very open to suggestion in this conquest. We want to get the most out of this box of goodies.

As far as the flavors we like, we are pretty much open to all fruits and regularly vape a mixed berry/melon hybrid I dubbed Gushers lol. We also have a local shop making something they call Lovers, which is a play on JJ's Beau's Affliction, which is pear, strawberry, and pomegranate I believe. I also like the honeydew melon flavored Despair from Nightmare Creations.

That being said, we are super open to all flavors right now. Including non fruit flavors. We need suggestions based on the 140 flavors we currently have in our possession, based on everyone's trial and errors, and their own personal best creations. I want to get the best out of you guys and apply it to my own tastes to see what, if anything, I have been missing over the last 2 years that I have been DIYing, and the 2 years before that I stuck with very simple flavors in order to not spend too much money.

The threads I have so far all have great suggestions in them, and more than enough recipes to use up most of my flavoring. But I want to know personally what ya'lls best TFA recipes have been. The ones that keep you coming back for more. The old standbys. Give me the recipes that, god forbid the world ended, you would stock up all the flavoring you could to get you until the end of time. lol

Thanks again guys. Will be updating once I get my base in with every bottle we make.

I have several all TFA's in my calculator. Many of them are clones I got from an old PDF that was floating around on the internet awhile back. Rather than check against your list, I'll assume your flat contains all these flavors. Only including the recipes I've liked enough to rate highly/mix regularly, so these will very much reflect my own personal tastes. Van. Custard, Van. Swirl, Strawberry Ripe, Bav. Cream, VBIC, and Caramel Original are very commonly used flavors. You might find yourself running out of those flavors and having to re-up.

Absolute Pin Clone 2
Irish Cream 12%
Caramel Orig. 8%
Absinthe 4%
Cinnamon Spice 2%

"Anti Lag" (Clone)
Watermelon 5%
Strawberry Ripe 3%
Blueberry Extra 4%
Bavarian Cream 1.5%
Graham Cracker Clear 1%

A Strawbana Shake
Banana Cream 10%
Str. Ripe 8%
Sweet Cream 3%
Dairy Milk 1%

Blueberry Cheesecake
Bav. Cream 1.50%
Blueberry Candy 5%
Blue. Wild 5%
Cheesecake Graham Crust 7%
Sweet Cream 3%

Diketone Delight
VBIC 6%
Van. Custard 6%

Cluster Fluck (clone)
Van. Custard 10%
Bav. Cream 3%
Marshmallow 2%
Whipped Cream 2%
Coconut Extra 0.50 %

Cotto's Revenge (clone, nobody seems to like this but me)
Coconut Extra 1%
Kentucky Bourbon 8%
Toasted Almond 1%
Van. Custard 10%

I had to stop after the "C"s, (sprained wrist). I would also suggest worrying less about finding all TFA recipes, and go ahead and sub your TFA versions in recipes that use other brands. Example, there are tons of recipes out there that are all TFA except they use Capella's Vanilla Custard. Subbing your TFA VC would be fine. I find TFA's/CAP VC, and TFA/FW Bavarian Cream among others to be quite interchangeable.

Thank you jambi, and everyone else that commented in this thread so far. I officially made my first 120mL of fluid last night using some recipes. Here are the ones I have brewed up so far.

Jambi's Anti-Lag
(see above)

Unicorn Milk
4% Bavarian Cream
5% Cheesecake (Graham Crust)
10% Strawberry (Ripe)
4% Sweet Cream
3% Vanilla Custard

Dragon's Punch
7% Citrus Punch II
3% Dragonfruit
4% Pomegranate
2% Sour
1% Koolada

Flamingo
8% Strawberry
7% Peach
2% Coconut

Just poured a tank of Anti-Lag now, and will report back with my findings for all of these. Thanks guys, and keep it coming with the submissions. I have a TON of flavorings left!
