I've been steeping a single TFA plum flavor juice for a few weeks now. Base is VG with 5% distilled water and there's two drops of liquid Pyure Stevia in there too.

Just tried it and it has a nice plum flavor but also tastes chalky. I don't really know how else to describe it. Like the plum flavor isn't entirely balanced.

Anyone else experience this and have an idea how to improve it?

That is one of TFA's Im not that fond of. INW Plum helps it quite a bit. If you like the flavor of the TFA I would add 1-2% INW cactus to help with the dryness. It does go well with other fruits like peach
Thank you, that's great info. I'm glad I wasn't imagining that off taste. I don't have any INW cactus yet. Would TPA Smooth or FA Magic Mask help it in the meantime?

It might or might not @christylh8 , I find my additives performance sometimes erratic at times. I might consider decanting a small amount and trying both additives to see which (if any) improves t for you. I might go for magic mask first, but that is the additive of the two you listed that I have and use, on occasion. It doesn't magically fix "everything" but it might help.

Good luck, and worst case even if the results aren't perfect, you'll get more of a sense of how each additive performs, would be my (personal) expectation of trying them. Etc.
