TFA VBIC vs. VBG

Herro!

Just want to know what the difference is, if any, between Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and Vanilla Bean Gelato by TFA? I already have VBIC, but am contemplating purchasing VBG. Please only comment if you have used these flavorings, or at least have used VBG so I can compare it to what I know VBIC tastes like.

Vanilla bean gelato is the diketone free version of the ice cream,so in theory they should be very similar.I have not tried the ice cream,but i do have the gelato,and i like it,to me it has a fairly deep true vanilla type taste to with a bit of creaminess.Some people have said they thought it had a plastic taste to it,but i have never experienced that.When i first got that flavor,i used it as a standalone at %5 as my adv for a couple months.It's cheaap enough for a small sample size,i would give it a try.

I have both and prefer the vbic. Vanilla bean gelato just fails for me somehow. It isn't a bad flavor just not really that thick rich flavor I thought it would be. I like vanilla swirl better than both of them. French vanilla creme is also pretty good.

Sucks because I still have 2 30mls of the vbg. Mostly full.

FWIW, I've read that the Vanilla Swirl is like a diketone-free Vanilla Custard. I have both VBG and VBIC - haven't tried the VBIC yet, but I haven't minded the VBG.

sketchness, this is a bizarre thought, but have you tried a tiny bit of butter with the VBG to try to roll it up to more of the VBIC? Or maybe a tiny bit of AP? IDK, just a thought (so you don't have to waste the VBG)
