Well, today I made the switch from an aspire premium kit to a wismec rx200 mod and a TFV4 tank and wow, I'm glad I did.

First Build on the rebuildable and it seems to work great! I did 8 wraps of 26ga SS316L and it came out to .63ohms on the mod. It's not perfect but I think it looks pretty good.

I forgot to take pictures after I pulsed it and tightened up the spacing a bit. Also forgot to take pictures of the wick job. Also noticed while wicking it that I put the coil perpendicular to the juice holes too but it seems to wick well, no dry hits yet, and yet hasn't flooded/gurgled or leaked at all. I cut the wick a little short at first but I just put the cap on and then stuff a couple small pieces in around the juice holes. Flavour and vapor is great for me but all I have is the mini nautilus as a baseline.

Pretty happy with the results, I'll update if that changes.

Any suggestions for builds or tips/tricks for this tank? Can you squeeze a dual coil in and get good airflow still? How does that hook up with only two post holes?

Congrats on your first build on the TFV4. I really like this tank, I got mine around Christmas, and never really gave it a shot until recently. I have the TF-RCA deck, and I use 28ga SS 430. I usually loop my wire through a cotter pin attached to a drill and twist it. I prefer spaced coils, if they touch it messes with the temp control on my eVic Mini. 4 3mm spaced wraps comes out to about .34 and at 430F/50 watts produces a ton of cloud and stays cool.

1. Do you use temp control? Does the RX200 allow TCR settings?

2. What wattage/temp do you run?

3. What kind of wick do you use?

I put a new coil in today because I got a few dry hits last night, made sure to orient the coil to the juice holes this time and it seems to wick better. I also tried a spaced coil this time, 5 wraps at about a 4mm inner diameter.

With the Tf-r1 I'm almost always in TC mode, somewhere around 50w/520f seems to be nice. It's a warm vape but not hot and nice clouds/flavour. With the latest firmware it does have TCR settings although I'm still new to regulated mods so I haven't played with them yet.

I've been using the organic cotton that comes with the tank, so far I like it. Once that runs out, I picked up some cotton bacon from a local B&M.
