Hey guys, just wonder what type of coil you use to recoil ? as I'm trying out to recoil but there is alot of different coil like kanthal, clapton. Cant make up my mind

If u are new. Can try out khantal 1st. 26awg I'd maybe 2.5 to 3mm. 6wraps should be good

Normally is Kanthal. Nicrome also.

All these coils (tiger/alien etc) are more aesthetic than functional in my opinion. Gives you the bragging rights when you compare coil builds with other fellow vapers. However some swear by these coils and claim that they give more flavor/vapor production. To each his own.

Indeed. Simple kanthal/claptons builds work good enough for me.

Yea. My tfv4 mini using the single coil rba. I ran it at .8ohms and 18 to 25watts.

Really furious. Drink juice damn fast.

But i noticed my wick gets burns very fast. Any1 have the same issue?

The tanks is like driving an subaru with turbo haha, it really give you headache when you the juice dropping but also give you an fairly amount of cloud chase.

Current ohm I'm vaping at 0.9 (sudden move up) and 39Watt. i'll rewick around 4-5 days depending on the amount I vapee

I'm using evic mini and Tfv4 mini and just got some kanthal a1 wire 26awg...

Manage to get 0.65ohms with 4 wraps.. Find that I manage to get a lot of vapor with very low watts (12 watts) but the taste is gone... So read that more wraps gives more surface area which means more vapor and more taste.. But it will increase the resistance to quite high.. And with evic mini, it's using a 18650 battery which is 3.7v.. I used ohm calculator and realized that I only require to use a very small amount of wattage.. So how is it possible for u guys to vape at high watts with high resistance? Won't it burn coil out very fast?

Please do show us your calculations. With only 1 variable (that's your resistance), i am curious how you derive your conclusions.

Maybe I calculated wrongly..

So what I always thought was that the voltage is fixed which is 3.7v as I'm using a single 18650 battery regulated mod.. So on the online ohmscalculator website, I will put 3.7 volts which is fixed. Then I will input the resistance from the coil I built, for example 1.5ohms..

After inputting 3.7 in volts n 1.5ohms in resistance, I get 9 watts..

So I'm wondering how some people can vape at over 20 watts with the similar inputs I got..

Also a few days ago I built a 0.65 ohm coil that's only 4 wraps.. Using the ohms calculator I should be vaping around 20 watts.. But I only need around 12-15 watts to get huge vapor production, only downside is that taste is not there..

3.7V is your terminal voltage. I think you might want to read up more about power law before pushing your mod or coils. More important to get basics right before doing anything else. Information is readily available online. Google.

I have been googling even before I get the mod but I just don't get what it meant.. Especially the voltage part.. But it's okay I will continue to go do research on it..

You DO realise you can adjust your watts with your Mini?
If we are speaking about same device.

@ReapersCreepers lol, you just need to go to steam engine and the coil wrapping section. After which input the variables and the wattage to get the heat flux which i usually do between 170-220.
The voltage part essentially isn't applicable to vtc mini since there's no voltage mode, they use calculation against fluctuating resistance to get the wattage(yes kanthal do fluctuate but not by much as compared to TC wires) to sustain a stable wattage. Voltage calculation is more applicable to mech mod as of now.
