I've seen a few people asking about wicking so I'm just curious how everyone is doing it. Here's how I do it. This is with 60vg

I've tried a few different wicking methods on the tf-r1 and the tf-r2, and every time the tank has leaked on me.
I've never before had any problems with wicking my rta's.
I'm going to try a couple of the same ways again tonight and see if I've been using too little cotton, I'll get some pictures while I'm doing it and share with you.
I'll give your way a try too.

i pack it loose, it floods and drips out of the airflow like a river
i pack it tight in the juice channel, dry hits all day
i make a wall with a tip in the juice channel, goes good then it randomly starts leaking, hits excellent though, can go as many hits as i want without dry hits
now im trying with LESS cotton and LOOSER with a tail in the juice channel without making a wall

pics of how i wicked mine... i left a leg in the juice channel then pushed the rest of the cotton into the base area above the juice hole, forming a wall covering the area between the airhole and the juice channel, still leaks, use less cotton?

How I do it is, I put the cover on the rba deck dry, and then put a few drops on the coil. So when I go to fill it, the cotton there to absorb the juice that might come out when I open the top. And I guess the way the cotton expands in the juice channel, it prevents leaking the next time I open it. Sometimes a little bit will leak, not much. I just put a small piece of paper towel in the air hole and tilt it sideways to absorb it. But generally just a few drops come out nothing major. I would prefer bottom fill, but if you do it right it should leak very little.

I mean the worst case scenario is leaking like crazy if i have too little cotton, and if i have ample... It still leaks... I notice when i fill it to the top is when i get more leaks, regardless of how i wick it

Mine leaked again last night while I was sleeping.
I re-coiled and re-wicked it a couple of hours ago, and just before I came upstairs to bed, noticed it was sat in a puddle, it didn't even have the decency to wait until I'd gone to bed.
It's the only tank I have that I can't use the RBA on without it leaking, I don't have any leaking trouble with any other tank.

I have had mine for a week now ,the problem is not your wick it is the o-ring on the rba deck to base . if you screw it down to fast the o-ring pop off.so what you need to do is lube it with a drop of juice then slowly tighten it a little at a time and let that o-ring settle ,then tighten down some more until snug. very slow way to do it but it works . and also wick tales down the channels. now for filling close air put band around ,then plug the chimney while you fill. then close lid and take a hit to create vacuum. then I put the second band at top to keep lid closed
