So I bought the TFV4 Mini and here's some feedback!

With the TFV4, I primed and filled, and the thing leaked all over the place... I had to completely dump it out and clean the inside of the base. Not a good start at all.

After the tank then spit so much that I nearly barfed from swallowing so much juice, it finally stopped spitting *so* much. But the spitting persisted and has continued through the entire week with my 80/20 juices. This is a problem as I get very nauseas after swallowing any nicotine at all, cramps and everything. It's not right.

Flavor wise, I've had no real problems. The vapor is pretty darn unreal, though with the Clapton coil that I started with (and am still on) the vapor went from ungodly to cut down a little after about 4 days - I'm thinking maybe some of the cotton has burned away from parts of the coil? By now, it's a little easier to get a dry hit and I can't really go above 77w without it tasting a little eh.

Trying out a Max VG juice cut down the bad spitting and moist lips almost completely (but not always). This is a sad trait as I moved away from the Subtank Nano only for this reason... I HATE any amount of spitting!

The top fill is also so much more trouble than you expect. The top swivel is so hard to open and close (so much so that I broke my real nail plum off!) and because I use Black Axis's juices with unscrew nipple tops, it's HARD to get the juice to go down the top hole - sometimes the VG juices clog up in it from the hole being so small and then it'll run all over the place and won't go down.

On top of that, when you close the swivel top, juice runs EVERYWHERE through the seams. This tank is a complete mess every 5 seconds and is so poorly designed. The tank also gets scalding hot, no kidding, despite garden hose airflow!

However, for what it's worth, I've had NO problems with leaking since the fill up, NO problems with melting o-rings, and NO real problems with flavor. Flavor is honestly a little flat actually compared to the Kanger Subtanks - and thats actually pretty bad. NO real problems with dry hits or anything like that, no rubbery flavor or anything.

Just, you can't chain this tank exactly like you can the new Kanger clapton/SS coils. The 3rd chain hits gonna be a little iffy.

The airflow in the drip tip indeed cuts back on flavor severely (otherwise I'd like it!) and it does cause a lot of spitting for some reason. I also found that the airholes on the base a little less than halfway closed also cuts back best on spitting and gives me the most comfortable draw.

The drip tip is a little huge, no lie. Pictures do not prepare you for this tank at all. I've had facial reconstruction surgery after a wreck and having to open my mouth so extremely wide and all that indeed is a little uncomfortable. The drip tip could be a little smaller by far, as half of the size doesn't even come in use.

I have yet to test out the triple coil and RBA but I'm hoping they are a little better. As of right now, I personally can't complain *too much* as I got this tank dirt cheap, but in my opinion you're wasting your money if you spend any more than $20 on it, I think folks would be better off trying a Herakles Plus (haven't tried that one though.)

So far, my opinion is very meh!

Hi there please join us in the tfv4 Facebook page a lot of knowledge

I own two tfv4s and one mini, I only really have the problems your having in the mini

The tank in the tfv4 with those huge coils is too small never mind the mini

I love the claptons in my mini and found I had similar issues to yourself but after around 3 tanks everything seemed be fine

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I think I became a vaping snob right from the beginning and tend to place Smok brand products at the end of the quality line. I mean, they do perfectly passable cartomizers and that sort of stuff but I've somehow picked up the idea that they're a "mainstream" company and build using planned obsolescence. I think of Kanger the same way.

Does anyone else do this or is it just me being "elitist" ? LOL

When you fill your TFV4, yes it does make a "vapor lock" inside that little sorta U shaped filling port. I had the same problem of juice channeling out the bottom or across the top and down the side. When you push the top aside and look down you see there is a shiny juice layer in the U shaped port, you have to either blow down or tissue the juice out before filling. Since doing this I haven't had a filling leak. Also don't dilly dally when filling.
The tip on your bottle also does affect the filling, I have problems with the short tip bottles but the longer tipped bottles work good.
I do like the TFV4 attys but not as much as I like and use my subtank mini's. The mini's are less hassle and maintenance to keep running.

I make sure the u shaped slot is clear of juice and then ensure that there is room for air in the tank to escape while filling. I often tend to place a finger over the center air hole while filling so excess juice does not run down it. Last but not least, I only fill until the top of the glass, there has to be an air pocket on top for the tank to work right. Always use the supplied rubber band to keep the top on and sealed.

Well who in the world has needle bottles everywhere on hand lol? They could have made the hole bigger knowing folks gonna be using all sorts of fill types. And they know that even dripper caps ain't gonna work cuz 30ml bottles last maybe a day with this tank. If you use this tank you gotta shop cheap and usually thr cheap companies have the unscrew caps :/. It doesn't help that even those bottles are usually a mess and a half.

Other than that I haven't had any problems with this tank since the first fill other than spitting. The spitting is the thing that really bothers me. It's something that's severe to the point any reviewer musy have been bonkers if they didn't notice it.

I think in a bit you will get it figured out. Sounds like you are figuring out the Fill side - I have 100ml long point bottles and also DIY;)(and my liquids are only 50/50)

You and I both already know, the Tank isn't spitting, the coil is. I'd definitely say give the RBA decks a shot. The Dual coil deck is pretty nice.

100% Guarantee you loose flavor opening the Drip tip AFC. After all you are sucking in cool, unflavored air.
The tip is standard 510, so you can replace with any favored tip you prefer.

You might consider opening the lower AFC back up a bit. Tighter Draw increases velocity which increases liquid draw which can lead to over saturation and spitting. JMO

Oh wow, I just tried the Sixtuple Coil that came with it, and THIS is what vapor is supposed to be like. It's perfectly spitless (99%)! It's been a year since I've had vapor this vapor-like! The Kanger coils and the Dual Clapton that came with this tank, I was literally drinking juice and did not realize how severe it was until now!

It is such a different feeling! Literally I felt a buzz because the juice nasea didn't combat it, and I can blow the vapor out smoothely without having to lick the dripping juice off my lips! Omg this is what it's supposed to be like!

I have the same problem. I tried all of the coils and same results. As soon as I fill the tank half way it starts coming out of the air holes am fed up with it. any one found solutions for this?

We need a lot more information:
    PV/GV Ratio
    Fill technique
    Filler shape/type - Glass dropper/ needle tip / etc.
    Time spent with top open?

Are you getting the Coil good and snug? (Bottom seal)
Are you closing the air control while filling?

Running Quad coil, 3 months without failure. No leaks at all. Takes me about 30 seconds to top up and close.

Pouring out the Base usually indicates High pressure during fill.<Blocking Fill opening>
Opening is designed to allow air to pass as you fill. Keep tip to one side.
