So I got the Smok v8 baby stick and it came with the tfv8 baby beast tank.
It comes with the M2 coils but I was wondering if I could use any other tfv8 baby coils on this device.
I've heard that you can but is it optimal? Will it burn out more quickly or anything?
Also, I tried using the tank with my Innokin Kroma and when I try to fire it, it says "shorted" on the screen.
I'm pretty sure the Kroma should work with any other 510 threaded tank. Is it because of the M2 coils?

Hi and welcome. All Baby Beast coils should fit and work in your tank. Which you choose will depend on the vape you want. In general, higher ohm coils use less power and juice and make smaller vapor. Lower ohm coils the opposite. The Kroma advertises a minimum resistance of .1Ω, but the meter in the mod may not be properly calibrated. You don't say which M2 coil you're using, but the .15 might be low enough the Kroma can't "see" it. You aren't going to harm anything by using the other coils, but coil and juice and battery life will vary, and it is also dependent on the mod's power level you set. You'll just have to experiment; none of us can see exactly what you want it to do. There will probably be a trade-off for you; something along the lines of more juice = more satisfaction and shorter battery life. Only you can decide this.

I started with the V8 stick and preferred the .25 over the .15 M2. However after I upgraded to the GX2/4 for power control find I like the .15 T8 octuple coil. But it's different than the M2 coils designed for the V8 around 35-40W, it's sweet ranged listed 60-80W and I usually use it 55-65W. I tried but didn't like the Q2 .4 coil. Different strokes!

Oh and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for all your replies! I figured all the other baby coils would work on the tank but was just unsure if the smok stick could "handle" it, since the description the product gives for the M2 coils makes it seem like its made specifically for the stick.
As for the kroma shorting problem with the tank, I think I got it figured out. I think it may have been a calibration problem like suptrkr said. I just got back home today and threw on the tank on my kroma again and it worked! For some reason yesterday it seemed to be reading the coil at .01 something when in fact it should be a .15 coil. I didn't change anything so idk what changed. Anyways, thanks for all your help.
