I want to thank everyone that helped with all the questions I had to start out with. Everything has been a great help to me.

I first started with a store bought ecig before xmas.. Then after finding this forum bought what I use now.

A Ego 510 mega. Love it so far. But today I ordered some, Joye eGo-Tank Mega Atomizer - Type B - Black and Joye eGo-Tank MEGA Empty Cartridge Type B - 5/Pack - Smoke Black

I was just using mega cartridges and atomizers. This are great. I don't have to fill them constantly, just top them off now and then.
I was using a 100% pg juice but wanted to try a pg / vg type. I bought some 50 / 50 in 18 and 24 mg. I found that with the filler cartridges and atomizers that after a short time I would start getting a burned taste. I figured out is was because the thicker juice just wasn't keeping the wick wet.

I had been looking at the tank atomizers and cartridges for a while now and decided to give them a try with the pg / vg mixes and see if they work better.

I started with this ecig on Dec. 20th and haven't had an analog since Jan. 6th. before that it was 1 analog in the morning for the quick hit and maybe a second sometime during the day. Think it was a mix of still wanting them and still having a pack in the house. It was a kind of love, hate thing . I just couldn't throw them out, so I used them, LOL

So I'll see how this tank type system works out with the thicker mix.

I know you researched, asked questions and were very grateful to all of us along the way and it's very heartwarming to see you doing so well. In the end I believe you deserve a pat on the back cuz I know how hard you worked at this...and now tanks? I was going to get into tanks and still might but it would be with cartos. Yes I would like if you could keep us updated on the tank and how it works.
Again congrats and happy to see you on your way.

Thank you vapor eyes.

I have looked at cartos, A LOT!!! But the biggest turn off on thoss are what I have found is. Thay are all round ends, I have come to like the flat type tips, looks like ones you find on some cigar type smokes. I tried a carto from a vendoe here at a local swap meet and I just did not like the feel of it, felt kinda of sharp is the best I can describe.

ROTFLMAO I LOVE it :D

It sounds like maybe you tried the ones with the rubber drip tips? I think you can buy flat drip tips. Anyhow I'm really interested in your tank experience cuz I know if anyone can do it...
Cheers.

Sounds like you need to buy a few whistle tip drip tips for those carto's . Sounds like your tailpiping them (using the bare carto end ) without a drip tip . You remove the little white plastic piece on the end , and replace with a drip tip . The size , shape and color , or what it's made of , is your choice .

Thank you Renzuli. Yes, If I understand you right, it was tailpiped. No end on it and just the plastick cap in it. But yet all the caros I have looked at, at different vendors all look the same.

Now if I did get a drip tip for them, that wouldnt mine I would have to use it as such, would it? I can just use it as a tip like what I do with the cartridges ? Not useing it to drip a few drops at a time.

In general the I think the -T tanks like low-VG blends like 30% VG or less? Though some vendors thin their VG with distilled water so some 50/50's may work.

You may also want to look at carto tanks - since the pre-punched carto is surrounded by liquid I think some thicker juices will work.

Thank you Dormouse. I was thinking and am looking for vendors with a mix of maybe 70 / 30 PG /Vg or maybe 80 /20.

I was looking at copper creek for one, but they don't have a menthol. Have tried other flavors, but so far I'll stick with menthol. LOL

I've seen several postings from people unable to find menthol flavors they like, or menthol flavors are unavailable....

An easy fix is to go to TPA and just order some koolada or menthol liquid PG. These are concentrated flavors so you would only need to add a few drops to your favorite flavor to get menthol..........koolada is not really menthol, but it adds a 'cool' feeling to eliquids.....Be sure to read the Reviews on each flavor to better get a handle on how to use them.
