I wanted to thank you all.

My journey:

I started on this long trip to here on 4/30 when I received my 510 kit in the mail. I bought it mostly because I wanted to start off cheap before I dived in with hundreds not knowing if this was for me. It worked so I knew there was more to be had so after much research I decided I wanted to try 3.7 and after much more research I went with a Silver Bullet. Wow!!! 510 in the back seat.

Was going on vacation, 10 hour car trip. I love dripping and didn't want to drip and drive that far so I bought some Iken cart's. Worked but it's no dripping. I also drive 55 miles each way to work and the dripping and driving was starting to worry me. Back to research. Bottom feeder is what I was going to try I decided.

About the same time I decided to make my 1st post on the forum. Mentioned I might be interested in a Reo and the last post was from mlinky inviting to stop by the REO forum with a link to there.

Mlinky, I thank you.
I thank the rest of you for all the info I got from there. For the loyalty you all show to this wonderful creation and for each other. I grew up in a small coal mining town where loyalty, hard work, honesty, and just plain respect for your fellow human being means everything. You all seem like a family. That is something missing from most of this country anymore. With that said, you all made me decide to finally spend my hard earned money on a REO. In fact it seemed to be a no brainer. I did look at others.

On the 10th I ordered a black body/blue door mini. Really wanted a black and gold, but none available :(
Knew where I was going to order my bats and what kind from all of your recommendations to everyone else over the past year. So off to Super T and ordered 3 AW IMR 14500's and another charger so I could have a backup.

Got confirmation my mini shipped Saturday. Wow!!! Rob ships that quick!!
Will I have my batteries in time????? Panic by Monday afternoon. No email yet. Monday night I jump on the Reo forum and saw someone recommended RTD vapor. Pa based. Great. Close,in stock, seemed like they ship quick so I jump on 2. Lucky I panicked. Got an email on Tuesday from Super T, out of stock on the bats.

The bats get here on Wednesday from RTD along with a note that my REO was at the PO. I charge the bats and tell the boss on Thursday I'm leaving early so I can get to the PO before it closes. He'll be all right.

Got it !!!!!

Don't have to tell you all how it is. :vapor:

Thank you all again and Rob for making these.

I'm still new to all this so I hope you all don't mind if I ask a question every now and again.

James, thank you for remembering me! This is a family, and, like you already found out, the REO is a fabulous mod. So welcome new REOnaut!!! We're happy to have you here, and anything you need to ask, feel free. :)

Hi James! Welcome! Thank you for letting us in on your travels! You are more than welcome to post questions...as there is nearly always someone around who is more than happy to lend a hand. :) We're all learning new things as we go along, so if you find something that is working especially well for you, you are welcome to post your story as well!

Congrats and welcome!!!!

Edit: And may I add how jealous I am of you -- my eyes caught your avatar where I noticed you had 7 posts and that you started around 4/30... You arrived at the right place so much sooner than I did!!!! Nevertheless, we are both here and we are grateful for that!

Seriously though - it's been a journey and I am happy that my journey now continues with the REO family and Rob's mods. Great to have you join us here!
I love the companionship, respect, fun and camaraderie (just learned how to spell that THANKS SPELL CHECK) that is all over this REO subforum

Hi 66italian, I'm so glad you found this heavenly vape mahcine as quickly as you did! Dripping and driving? Man, that's got to be as dangerous as texting and driving or cell phone and driving... so glad you knew better!

Welcome to Reovil -- join us at the Reo Lounge whenever you have a chance to sit and chat for a spell :D

Rob recently started offering doors all by themselves...he's out of gold at the moment but it could be an option for you in the future.

Dripping & driving is what lead me to look for a change as well, and my commute's way shorter than yours. Congratulations on your wise choice...the reo isn't just safer, it's significantly better!

Spell check and copy and paste are the best thing ever.
If they had that when I was in school I might not be selling toilets!! But it pays some of the bills anyway.

How can I forget the person that led me to REOville!!!

mlinky, I remember your early, early days on the newbie forum....and your counting every single "success" day...and being so new....and I see you now and I read all the time how many people you've helped, and how many people you've "led" to REOville, and on and on.....just wanted to say that you've certainly been assimilated! Good job.
