Hello ECF,
Thank YOU!!!
From the bottom of my heart... thank you to each and every single person that helped me along the way. There are too many to mention individually... which is truly a testament to the support this community provides to new comers.
The great thing about this community is all of the information made available by a curious and pioneering group of people. Any question you could ever ask has probably been asked and answered within these forums. However, that is also probably it's greatest downfall as well. There is so much information available that it can be PV overload very quickly when trying to navigate to the simplest answers.
It is the people here that do not simply "grab and go" once they get the answers they need that makes this place so great. If people were not willing to devote their time and effort into paying it forward, then this community would not have seen the growth and continued support it sees now. The cache of information on ECF along with a great number of excellent suppliers, youtube reviewers and bloggers that are here to help newbies is truly astounding.
To everyone that took the time to help me, or to help those that passed the information along to me...thank you.
Where I am now!
It's now been 6 days without an analog!! I did experiment with some comparison analogs after initially stopped smoking for 3 days when I got my first real PV (about 3 weeks ago). I found that I really didn't like the taste that much and threw the pack out. But, analogs being what they are, I got it back in my system and ended up buying a pack after another few days. This was my hardest time. I broke down and started smoking regularly for about 24 hours, but during that time it really sunk in how bad they tasted and how much I preferred vaping.
When I started to smoke again I saw VERY QUICKLY how much less energy I had and how much more I worried about my breath, smell, clothes, teeth, etc. I saw the trauma it created in my day and realized that I wasn't seeing the pleasure anymore.
Since then I've been 6 days without a smoke and for the first time this morning, hung out with someone that was smoking heavily. I wasn't even tempted a bit. I started to talk to him about my PV and how much it has helped and even directed him to ECF
I can't even begin to describe the changes I've already seen in my sense of smell and taste, my confidence, my level of tension, my breathing, my energy level and my overall satisfaction with my day.
As a wiser man than myself once said... "I see the light." I wont be going back to analogs and I am certain of that. The hump that people always talk about has officially been crossed. While temptation will probably arise on occasion, I've found something that I enjoy more and that has made my life better. It won't be too hard to say no and it'll only get easier each day!
I can't say it enough.. To everyone here that has helped make this change in my life or anyone else's... Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
I will be sure to try to help others as you all have helped me!
Thank YOU!!!
