Thanks for the tutorial. Did a modified version with a pice of ribbon 29 gauge and 29 gauge wrapped around. it is .6 in duel using it on my duke right now. The flavor is amazing. @tapehead I think it is better than ss wick but I might try a modified version with agro coil later.
Edit: It snapped after 30 min of use :( Think I am going to try one more time before going back to cotton :p

What do you mean by "snapped"?

Do you think this coil will last longer than average? Flavor better than with a SS wick?

I personally don't use it all day. This is used as my flavor tester only but I see it lasting for a long long time. This build gets everything super hot. I might try to build a twisted 27g with 29g loops. I think it's some of the best flavor i've had.

What resistance are you at with everything getting that hot? I may try this at .5 ohms or so.

Keep up the experiments! I'll try some out myself once I get some wire.

One of the wires on my coil broke between the connector and the post. You need to dry burn between flavors and think I was using to thin of a wire. Tomorrow I am going to try the same thing with more wraps. Think lower gauge but more wraps might work out better that what I did.

I just tried doing this with 28 gauge twisted wire wrapped with 32 gauge twisted by hand on my friends IGO-L. Seemed to work pretty good. Flavor is rich and warm. I just made another wickless coil yesterday using my drill, so it's super tight. Going to test it out on my other friends IGO-W. Lol, I have to keep using friend's RDAs cause I don't want to touch my dual coil triple twisted 32 gauge setup since it hits so nice. Damn fasttech taking too long to get me my second IGO-W to play with.

Here's a question. Wouldn't it be easier to just twist 4 strands of 28 gauge wire together, effectively making it 22 gauge wire will the desired channels for wicking? Or even 5 strands for an effective 20 gauge wire?

Give it a shot and see how it works, let us know.
