…for me.
…so far.
I’ve tried a lot of different e-liquids from all over the spectrum. Including every flavor from Halo, Johnson’s Creek, and ECOpure, and many from Litecig, Vapor4Life, Madvapes, Decadent, Totally Wicked, Ms. T, Tasty Vapor, Dekang, Puresmoker and others. After all the dust settled I found I really liked about 10 or 12 of the *brazilian* or so e-liquids I’d tried. After a while of vaping those I found that I kept going back to only 6 (or 8). So, even if everyone likes different things, here is my review of my 6 (or 8) favorites. I primarily vape 18mg e-liquids in KR808D-1 cartomizers.
1. Nobacco Bananas Foster / Ms. T’s Bananas Foster Coffee
This has become my main vape. I fell in love with Ms. T’s BFC a long time ago. It has a very full and rich flavor to it – very banana and very coffee. It lead me to try a lot of banana flavors thinking maybe banana flavors were just full flavored and full bodied flavors. They are not. I also tried Tasty Vapor’s Bananas Foster but found the balance didn’t quite suit me – too much cinnamon I think. After I’d been vaping this for awhile I came across Vapor4Life’s new Bananas Foster flavor. The Nobacco one was a solid bananas foster flavor, creamy, with just a hint of liquor and cinnamon or brown sugar. Coming off Ms. T’s I was amazed at how bananas foster like the V4L flavor was – but vaping it regularly I seemed to also have a need to switch back and forth with the very different Ms. T flavor. I’ve come to use a mix as my favorite vape – about 75% Nobacco and 25% Ms. T’s. I love this stuff.
2. Nobacco Mountain Do
Be warned, a lot of people love this flavor, and a lot of people seem to not like it too. If you don’t like “perfumey” vapes, this one isn’t for you. It is one of the few flavors I’ve found that doesn’t seem to be too weak, as so many flavors are. It is reminiscent of Mt. Dew soda, and has that same sweet/sour aspect of the soda. However it is also pretty floral and certainly not an exact match for the soda. It’s a great juice and a very unique flavor – it makes an excellent change up from just about anything else.
3. Decadent Habana Reserve
This is from the Totally Wicked D.V. line. It is advertised as a tobacco-type flavor but it is derived from entirely non-tobacco herbal flavorings. It is a little bit bitter, very herbal, and totally unique. It’s not sweet at all. It also is not “grassy” at all (some flavors, particularly “Camel” branded stuff, tastes like lawn clippings to me). This makes for an excellent all day vape if you aren’t a fan of sweet flavors or burn out easily on other sour and fruity types of flavors. This is another very unique vape, and complex enough to keep things interesting for your pallet.
4. Halo Freedom
Another tobacco flavor, but not at all like Habana Reserve. I love this one because it is incredibly smooth and has a cool-tasting aspect to it, but not menthol at all. I really don’t want to mislead anyone that it has any mint or anything to it – it does not, it just tastes…cool somehow. It’s easily the smoothest of my favorite liquids. The tobacco aspect is mild and clean tasting. It defies description because I can't really compare it to the many other tobacco flavors I’ve tried. But if you search the forums you’ll find there is no shortage of recommendations for this flavor.
5. Johnson Creek Island / Johnson Creek Summer Peach
Island has been bashed on by a lot of people who say it tastes like sunscreen. It does. A lot of people really hate that. I love it. It reminds me of the beach, which is what I suppose it is supposed to do. If you don’t like the smell of paba and tanning oil you will not like this one. For me it’s like kissing a bikini clad beauty on her sweaty sunscreened lips after she’s sipped on some pina colada. Yummy. There isn’t quite enough of the fruity aspect that I’d like it to have. I’ve found that it mixes excellently, and gets the missing fruity aspect from, 50/50 with Johnson Creek Summer Peach. Summer Peach is, in my opinion, just an okay juice on its own – there are better peaches out there, like the very peachy Nobacco Peach from V4L. But Summer Peach has that odd smoky sweet aspect to it that is found in all of the original Johnson Creek line, and it blends perfectly with Island – adding the fruity hint and a touch of that funky Johnson Creek sweetness.
6. Nhaler Watermelon Lung
In general, I don’t find Watermelon flavors to be particularly impressive. And that is still true here, but after vaping plenty of coconut, peach, orange, cherry, and other fruity flavors, I’ve found that, for me, watermelon vapes make a good change up. They are generally mild and just a hair sweet without much tang to them whatever. It’s a light flavor and so not particularly noteworthy, but it just hits the spot. It is a good pallet cleaning vape and a nice change from my other favorites. I found Totally Wicked watermelon to be oddly spicy, and Nobacco Watermelon to be better but not quite smooth enough. The Lung line from Nhaler is advertised to contain a mix of supposedly lung-healthy ingredients, which is also a very appealing idea. I find this juice perfect for a nice, mild, low-nic, nighttime vape.
