I just updated my total in my sig. Haven't exactly saved very much. But today's inventory of my supplies shows that I have enough juice to last almost a year and a half, batteries to last over a year, cartos for 3 months. So if I find a sale, I'll stock up on some more cartos so I have enough. Then I can pretend I'm set til 2013. (also have spare ego batteries and attys for backup)

I knew I wasn't saving anything in the beginning as evident by my debit card, too much "I want" syndrome. What really floored me when I first started to vape was when I decided to figure how much I was spending on smoking, so I would have a base line, about fell out of my chair when the calculator said $1825.00 per year and that was just for cigarettes and nothing else. I save about $4.50 each day (was spending $5.00)I don't smoke cigs. Doesn't sound like much but it sure adds up over time.

I haven't saved a cent. As a matter of fact, I've spent about $300 in the last 40 days or so on vaping, and I haven't quit smoking yet. I was spending around $30 per month on cigarettes that I make myself.

But, it's totally worth it to me. I'm down to less than half of my former smoking habit, while I search for the hardware, liquid type, and flavors that will ease (and hopefully assure) my successful quitting of analogs.

I've never been anywhere close to as confident as I am now that I can do this, and I'm happy to pay money for that!

I figure that once I get settled in, I can probably keep below $45 per month, easily. That's not bad at all.

Wow! You must live in a state with high taxes or used to be a chain smoker....maybe both. That's pretty awesome you saved that much.

Not as high as some states, but cigs were around 6 bucks a pack by the carton. Smoked 2 packs a day, sometimes 3 on the weekends.

I do pay attention to both numbers. What it shows I am not spending on butts in my signature, and what I know I have spent on e-cig hardware and liquids since I started this venture in April 2011. The bottom line is that I have saved $927.69 (yeah, I use Quicken...) since my first e-cig purchase in April 2011. That's what I would have spent on smoking, minus what I have actually spent on vaping. And that's still in context of the vv box mod I ordered yesterday.

Beyond the wonderful fact that I have quit smoking, I like that! Nearly one grand saved in a little over 9 months by vaping instead.

My sig counter started on July 31st - it does say "last cigarette" after all. Haven't had another one since. But as far as the savings go, it began the month I started vaping.

Don't forget the cost of lighters, holes burned in clothing so more $ spent to replace how often, air fresheners, perfume/cologne, extra mouth wash , doctor visits, hospital stays (at least down the road and it won't be cheaper you can be certain of that) also must count (IMO) the better feeling, better breathing, stamina etc. WIN-WIN In my opinion! :vapor:
