Scripture states that Jesus sweat droplets of blood in the Garden of Gethsemane. Do I think Scripture is literal in this case? Yes I do. The enormity of taking all of the sins of the world, past, present, and future on one's shoulders.........I can't even fathom. My sins alone would make Him sweat drops of blood and put Him on the cross. It sounds impossible, but then again, the human body can do things that blow the mind. Do I believe Scripture literally? Yes, I do. Talk about your stress level...........tiny blood vessels popping......THAT is what I call stress! He could have walked away. Like the song says, 'He could have called ten thousand angels'.........but He didn't! Why? Because He won the battle in the Garden! His mind was set in the garden. WOW! I know I couldn't even come close, nor would I want my only son (and child) to do what He did. He asked God the Father if the cup could pass from Him.........meaning, He didn't want to do it. What sane person would? What a Savior we have!
This just came to me.......mankind's downfall began in a garden by the first Adam. Mankind's redemption was covered by the 2nd Adam in a garden. Again, the battle was fought in the garden! Don't take my word for it, research it yourself. COOL! Thoughts?????
ADDENDUM: Jesus instructed us to test the spirits, and as I am a stranger to most of you, I want you to test the spirits on posts that make you shake your head. I am not a know it all....................a 180 degree difference. There are things that the Lord shows me, but only the Holy Spirit can confirm what I post.
