If like me you like tobacco flavours or / and bakery flavours leaning towards caramel and pie crust rather than fruity / banana / cinemon - READ ON.
If you like Spacejam, Suicide Bunny, Button Junkie, Mile High, Cutwood etc type tobacco or pie crust type flavours = READ ON.
I've tried and like Spacejam Eclipse; Sugar Drizzle; Button Junkie 'Vulture Punch' Mile High Drip 'Sinful' and some heavier VG dark Virginia type tobacco juices.
So Okay Hotwire, what's the point here?
Well all of the above will cost you in the UK £17 on average for 30ml. They are at the high end in the USA too.
Now old hands at vaping will know about the juice I'm about to talk about but newer vapers may have overlooked this absolute GEM.
What if I told you it is as good as any of the above but only costs £10 for 40ml?
That's right.
It's Hangsen RY4, the original no frills, 80pg/20vg direct from their UK online site.
Now veteran vapers will tell you the Hangsen and the Dekang are the best or among the best RY4's and both brands were the ORIGINALS. But as they are cheap and from China, a lot of newer vapers might overlook them.
Well I honest to God think it is the best juice out there not only for flavour - bear in mind my tastes as outlined above - but also value.
Now there is a caveat. Put it in an ego type clearo or ego-c type set up and it will and does to me taste of stale tobacco / socks. But this is obviously not how this juice was meant to be vaped, it takes different heats to make certain flavours come alive best and this juice IMHE needs more heat than most.
I know this as in 2009 I had a carto of Dekang RY4 but it was for a 309 fit and I had an ego 510. So I pulled out the filler, squeezed out the juice and dripped it. Caramel tobacco HEAVEN!
So recently I bought some more and used in in my EVOD and ego and it sucked. Stale socks. Disgusting. Maybe I had the wrong Hangsen RY4...?
THEN I tried it in my new Nautilus Mini with 1.8 coil at between 16-20 Watts and Subtank 1.2ohm coil at 16 Watts as was getting frustrated with other juices. Thought 'well Hangsen RY4 is marketed to low powered devices in all the stores and they only put it in clearo / evod testers and the good tester tanks are full of heavier VG USA gourmet juices, but what the hell.'
I think they do this because if they let you vape Hangsen or Dekang RY4 in a decent tank, they would lose a hell of a lot of sales of more expensive juice.
So I remembered how well it stood up to dripping on a 510 atty back in the day and popped it in both the Nautilus Mini 1.8ohm coil at between 16-20 Watts and in the Subtank Nano with the 1.2ohm coil at 16 Watts.
This juice needs HEAT to make it sing. And boy is it good once you get it hot!
Now any veteran vaper will tell you RY4 is many things to different people, some will get cigarette taste, some vanilla tobacco, some caramel tobacco, some will swear there's something else in there like chocolate.
All I know is at the lower range of 16W on the Nautilus it's sweet caramel with mild tobacco undertones. Same at about 14W on the subtank 1.2 coil at 14W. And it is delicious.
But - then pop up the heat on the Nautilus to 18-20W o on the Subtank to 16W and boy oh boy it really tastes how you (at least how I) imagine a caramel cigarette would taste. But you're not smoking, you're vaping it!
I swear, if you like the type of favours and gourmet juices I've described above, order 4 bottles for £10 and free delivery, pop this on a tank of same quality as I have outlined above and at the same kind of heat and I bet you will thank me.
ADV all day long, week in week out and £10 for 40ml.
I might sound crazy, I might sound like a schill but I'm not, I'm really fussy and turn my nose up at 99% of the juices I try at the B&M shops - but this juice at the right heat = best damn juice for taste and value on the planet.
Look YMMV, but risk £10 or just £3 for one bottle, not much to lose, considering all those expensive juices you buy and might not like them all etc - and give this a try.
Last thing I would mention is this juice seems to taste best at lower nicotine levels than you would vape other juices. I vape it at zero and it hands down beats Suicide Bunny, Space Jam (though that is a close 2nd) MIle High, Cutwood and lots of other big brands I have vaped at zero nic - it really does.
The original - or 2nd original depending on what you read and still the best IMHO.
I am writing this and waxing so lyrical out of pure honesty as I know if like me you're not into fruity or milky juices - this one will really surprise you - if vaped at the right temp or dripped.
Seriously, I honestly, cost and all other factors aside, place it above all the above mentioned juices for flavour and texture, it really is that good (to me.)
Doesn't hurt that it's so affordable either.
And yeah, I recommend trying it at half the normal nic level, but that's just me.
Google 'best RY4' and all the threads where guys like me are hunting for the mythological best RY4 out there and this one pops up in every thread, every conversation, every list of top RY4's etc.
Peace.
