It really depends on what you plan to use on your mechanical, and how you plan to do your builds. Trust me, none of them do everything equally well.

I find that I'm using my Zen DX ($110) the most, but I'm using an "almosta" micro coil in an A7 on it. (wrap around one strand of 1mm Ekowool) I also had to modify the switch with a different spring & screw.

    +1

I say get what you like, very few mods anymore are "bad" it's not like the older days when they used SS or chrome plated pins and you got 25 min out of a battery because it had some wonky steel spring.

voltage drop is very dependent on the build you use and the sag and internal resistance of the battery more then the mod itself anymore.

soon as you get to .8 and even lower, even the cheapest mod will belt out some steam clouds.

    Agree.
As I patiently wait on my Nemesis to find my mail box, I'm blowing Pinoy level white out clouds using $12 hot spring mod; 0.5 system voltage drop with 0.7 ohm quad coil RDA.

lol with dual coils that low you could use a papertowel tube and tinfoil for caps and still make clouds :D

the nemi is pretty nice for 20 something i decided to get one too. , got a poldiac and that is a solid solid mod when you pick it up it actually feels like something, i doubt you could crush the tube in a vise. love my all brass poldi, its got style.........

I plan on getting a nimbus and doing dual coil setups, probably around .5 ohms. I also plan on using an 18650 battery most of the time. In addition, I'll be use an aga-t2 for on the go vaping.

My AGA-T2 is the only RTA I have that is quality through and through but AGA-T2 is not good for pocket carry because the cap can pop off.

FT screw cap cobra (thick tank version) is the best performing and best pocket carry RTA I have but it is low quality chrome plated brass.

I would love to have a 16-18mm screw cap quality SS/glass RTA.

not cheap but these are all based off the one and only DID from MMvapors why china decided to call the DID clone a cobra has always baffled me, the cobra is my all time fav geni. with the MMV gemini in second.

i do believe the original aga was a screw top if you could find one.

Imho, the Nemesis is the best. Mine came from fasttech. Great mod.

Accommodates slightly different battery lengths with minimal fiddling. - CHECK !
Easy to flush fit various RBAs. - CHECK !
Does not come undone when lock/unlock switch. - CHECK !
One tube for batt instead of telescopic or multiple rings. - NO (multiple rings, but it's not problem for me, they adjust really perfectly).
Switch has insulator and does not rely on battery bottom shrink wrap for insulation. - CHECK !
Switch throw adjustable. - NO (the throw is just right for me, but personal preference I guess)
Magnet switch upgrade possible. - CHECK !
Smooth switch actuation. - CHECK ! (some people report crunchy switches though, not my case)
Has vent holes in both ends; should be able to breath through mod regardless of switch position. - I don't understand, no idea.
Minimal machining marks. - CHECK ! (not sure I understand the request, but the FT nemeis is very very well machined).
Standing mod does not rely on switch spring to prevent firing. - NO (it relies on the switch, but the springs that came with it don't make it fire)

I thought Nemesis had adjustable switch throw?

My trusty drill can fix any potential vent concerns if they exist.

It is a royal pain to sand machine ridges out of SS, for mirror polish or smooth satin finish. I don't know how deep the Nemesis machining marks are.

It's not really a no, but I read that the Switch pin should always be fully "screwed" in order for the switch to not wobble, so I always screwed it in all the way, and never tried another setting since I'm fine with this throw. I guess you could adjust the throw by unscrewing it a little... but since the pin holds the little rod in place, don't know if it's really recommended.

The Nemesis is well made. No the switch is not adjustable never leave the bottom pin loose. There are vent holes in the tube no problem there are no machining marks on them. You can get a polished version instead of the brushed if you like.

Have a magneto and love it in 18350 mode as my carry on.

Was interested in the atomo. Then I found out about...

    THE STINGRAY BY JD TECH!!!!
the search is over. It's all I want now. Seems like perfection, realised.

I've been looking at the magneto but I have a question that since you own one you might be able to answer.

My K100 the button is so hard to press the device is nearly impossible for me to manage. How does the magneto compare? In other words how much pressure does the button require.

I suffer from tiny hands and early onset arthritis. :(

I have the Brass Nemesis and a SS Nemesis. I absolutely love them. I like the simplicity, clean lines...great air flow control, great switch, low voltage drop and silver contacts. To me, it's the perfect mech. Mine aren't clones but I did see a clone from FT at a local B&M and it was really nice. I've heard the quality varies with FT, though. One guy might get a great Nemmy clone and another might get junk. I guess they have several folks manufacturing the clones. With the real thing, you know what you're getting. Either way, design wise, the Nemesis is exactly what I wanted it to be. ProVari and Kayfun are the only other things I have that I can say that about.
