ok guys, here's the situation with the last of the Pre Releases, going to be Friday for shipping, BUT this should effect NOBODY as I'm going to up the shipping to the faster priority option (may work out better as they took forever to get charmed hers), so maybe this is good news? I am making a new batch of brass top screws for ALL of them right now, as I was wanted to tweak just one little thing about the last updated batch.. the ones that just popped out of Dev I am really happy with! So this is just an update for you waiting on a tracking number,, friday, friday, friday,,, but, new screw that should fit all tips fine, and upgraded shipping.... Everything else is looking great...

~thanks guys

Hi Doug. =)

Once upon a time, circa three decades ago, I worked as a machinist for a time. That said, I can truly appreciate what you have created here. It's a gorgeous piece of workmanship that shows creativity and much forethought. Congratulations to you, Sir.

I especially appreciate the internal *tank* and the thought process that went into it. However, I am primarily an atomizer user and a dripper. I'm wondering if you have tinkered with using an atty with the Billet Box? The thought here is that a 510-510 shorty adapter (or the use of a 'long barrel' 510 atty) would make up the difference in length between a standard carto and an atomizer. The Billet Box's internal tank would serve as the world's largest *catch cup*. LOL

I think there is an opportunity here for the Billet Box to capture a second market, the steadfast (and somewhat stubborn) user like me, the dripper.

Thoughts?

I actually sent DD a PM with a couple of ideas for alternative tank modules. PM mostly because he's probably already extended and didn't want to encourage too much of a push for new features before the first production run is even out. :) But since you mentioned it....

He's already stated that an RBA module is planned, but you are right -- there is great potential to extend the current market (and extend the market for back-up/secondary BB's) with tank modules for dripping atomizers that basically turns the tank into an internal drip shield (ideally with support for 510, i06 and/or 306).

And I'm betting that a "standard 510" module (that would basically be a bridge to a standard 510 connection at the top of the box for use with just about anything currently on the market) would also be popular. Even though that compromises the design intent of the BB it does add flexibility, and I have a tank or two that would look just lovely on top of this!

Good ideas man, I was wondering though, could you get one of those long 510-510 adapters and run it from the contact plate through the top of the box? don't know if it would fit through the brass ring though...
