Someone told me I had a fancy cigarette case today. I was .........lol

Someone at work asked me why I had a mouth piece sticking out the side of a tobacco tin...

On another note, are youu still having trouble with carto / flavour? I ask because we both have the same SS 'hourglass' drip tip ( the one lord DD uses too ). After a couple of days with my beloved BB, I needed to change the carto. I wasnt getting a burnt taste, but the flavour was off. I was only getting like 2 - 3 days out of a carto before it was time to swap. I started to think the BB was a carto killer!

Anyway, as I mentioned before the brass colar on the BB had been shaving small piecer of rubber off of the O ring on my drip tip. It got to the stage where it was getting too loose so I swapped it out for a plastic ming type I had at hand and the vape and flavour is much more consistant.

The stem on the ming is a little longer, and the O ring is placed lower. I think, thoughts its a looser fit, im getting better seal with this one. The other one had the O ring in contact with the tightening grooves on the brass collar and I think the seal was compromised as a result. This ( in my mind ) meant that as well as being slowly shaved down, it was also affecting the draw, and thus the wicking of liquid into the carto, and the amout of vapour reaching my mouth.

Of course, this could just be in my head.... But, I much prefer the style of the hourglass tip over the ming, but the ming is certainly giving me a more enjoyable vape.

Just my 2 pence.

Hah, definitely not a tobacco tin lol.

My Ikenvape carto's tend to crap out on me in a couple of days, but I have a Boge in here now that's 2 days old. It still seems to be going strong, flavor is there. I don't expect it to last longer than a week though.

As for the drip tip, I'm having no issues with mine. Nothing's shaved off. I always lubricate the drip tip just like I would the o-rings in the tank before I put it on. I don't really remove it unless I'm swapping out the cartomizer or removing the tank. I haven't noticed any issues with the draw though. It's the same with the two tips I normally use on here. The brass ring is a little tight though, that's for sure.

I'm thinking that you can replace the o-ring on the hourglass tip with another one, maybe the ring you have on there now was bad from the start? Are you lubricating the o-ring on the DT too?

Ive never tried an Ikenvape carto. Mostly because they seem to almost permanently be out of stock!

Well glad your not having any issues. It was starting to get to me a bit, I thought 'this thing is going to cost me a fortune in carto's!'. I didnt want to post on the thread about it before a bit of investigation work, as I thought it my harsh peoples buzz that were waiting on orders / pre orders. But I seem to have it figured out now. I think punching an extra hole helped too :D

I have been using Boge's for about 5-6 months now and generally get about 5 days out of them before the draw gets too tight and they need swapping out.

Ah, no I never lubed the drip tip. But it could have been a dodgy O ring from the off as you said. I will get another and give it another trial.

Another thing, I saw you posted about lack of bubbles coming out of your carto. I had the same thing, but noticed that there were TINY bubbles coming from the back hole. Im used to seeing honking great bubbles ( relatively ) whilst using a round tube tank, but as the BB is flat you dont get the same sort of defraction / magnification of the bubbles, so it makes them more difficult to spot. I spent like 30 minutes pressing on the face of that thing!

I think if you come across some Ikens, definitely give them a shot. It's subjective to the user IMO, I'm just not the biggest fan :p

I did realize ultimately that punching three holes did the trick, even if I was using thin juice. Three holes allowed the cartomizer to keep up with chain vaping without any issued :D

i can live with 5 days, I just DESPISE changing flavors on a used carto. New flavors never shine, and because of this, I've been swapping them out before they even die. I just ordered some Ravens, so I'm suspecting that swapping flavors on those things would be much more tolerable. Can't wait to trim them down and give them a shot!

Yeah, definitely lube up any part that is exposed to friction. All the o-rings get some juice on my end, and the door and ball bearing track always gets some olive oil when it starts to become a little "gritty" to slide. Let me know about the other O-ring. I've also found that if you "twist" the drip tip while putting it on, it saves the rings a bit. That might be worth a shot too, literally twisting it right as you're pressing it in.

I was able to fix the bubbles from the nitrile ball by poking around the ball with a plastic syringe. I was happy I didn't break it lol. As for bubbles from the carto itself, I'm not getting any with this one. I have three holes and no bubbles, but the carto is keeping up and vaping fine. I'll see them occasionally, but that's rare lol. I guess as long as it's vaping and you see your liquid reservoir going down, it's doing it's job :)

Im not too keen on changing flavours over either. Im doing it at the moment actually. But, I try to go with something close ish in flavour. Im currently changing from Vamp Vape ( caramel + coconut ) to RY4, so differnt but close ish.

I ordered some Ravens too :) Not looking forward to trimming them down though.

I did twist the drip tip when inserting it, but I think that was part of the problem! It would probably be different with the lubrication on there though. Yeah all the4 time your not getting the flavour of charred carto filler then your doing ok!

Good luck with the flavor swap lol. I'm not looking forward to trimming the Ravens either, but it has to be done :p

In Doug's instructional videos, he says to kind of twist the carto as you're inserting it into the tank after you lubed up the rings. I just go by that rule with the DT too :p

Are Raven's just other manufacturer of CE2??
Same principal, it looks like. Wasn't fan of the ce2 I tested. Maybe main difference is that Raven's would be steel and Raven's aluminum?

The ravens are bottom coil, so the liquid doesn't have a long way to go. They also use a silica wick to draw in liquid rather than having to "tip" them upside down to feed. They pretty much act like a standard atomizer in a ceramic cup, just sitting low towards the bottom of the tank and allows for feeding through two holes.

Absinth can correct me if I'm wrong though.

My oring on my stainless steel tip got chewed up too. Going to try lubing it as well

Thank you in advance to those of you shifting from "hamster mode" to "guinea pig" mode with the Raven.

Imma still wait it out and see what happens long-term. :)

How long term? In a month there might be something new...lol. You wait in this industry and the parade will pass you by.
