Sorry took a nap not well today, is that Teflon tape that white stuff used onpipe line threads. Been a while sense I've used that but think that is what it is. Will go look in the plumbing box or maybe in my electric box. Thanks Crocky
Try wrapping a little Teflon tape around the orings of the DT that is loose, it will snug it right up

If you don't have a little larger o-ring, you can also use some sewing thread under the one you have.

I was thinkin I should get some of these things, do they come in an assortment pack? What department would they be located in in a place like lowes or menards? I only have like 4 drip tips that have O rings on them. Thanks I will keep both these ideas in mind and try one of them.

What did yah use to cut it down and did ya take the flange off of it?

I ordered a few without the flange, and I used one of these pipe cutter thingies:

Next time I'll try my Dremel.

I did that as well a while back but unfortunately when it cut it (which it did well) it curved the top in ever so slightly that I could not get a drip tip on it :(. If I tried to pull it out it disfigured it too much.

It did that on mine too, that's why I'll be trying the Dremel next time. I thought it might be because the cutter is a bit old, and isn't so sharp, even though I was trying to be careful. I found out there's a thick plastic inside the carto that makes it really hard to tell when you've cut it through.

I'm not having trouble with getting my drip tip on, I don't think it goes down far enough to actually go into the carto. As long as the carto touches the brass ring, all is well.

Yep, I take back what I said about the DT, I think it was the brass connection did not make contact because if it. Maybe as Steve said I need to do it slower. It is a new pipe cutter so should be sharp enough. I am thinking I went to fast and applied too much pressure.

OMG. I am so stooopid. The Billet Box has been wonderful, exept last night and this morning. I have fresh batteries, but nothing. Then it fired two or three times....nothing.

I haven't used cartos for so long, I forgot they don't last for months!!! And do I have another with me? No. Luckily, I do have 2 other devices to get me through the day.
