anywhooo... someone felt that the nitrile ball was being attacked by their diy banana juice and causing a rubbery taste. so i took it out for um...

I was able to get an order in for my BB on Friday! I had to get up and excuse myself from an exam... LOL.

Ok, so... it's time to accessorize... I'm going to grab 4 batteries... you guys recommend the AW ICRs 16340?? Protected, Black with silver label?

I dont think I can regress back to a carto... so I'm going to go the Diver route... any suggestions on what to buy with the diver? I have plenty of wick and wire... maybe just some extra ceramics?

Also, what is this business about flanged/flangeless divers from Avid?

the ICR black/silvers work great, and i get mine from lighthound-also pick up a couple of the little ballistic nylon keychain pouch thingys they carry, too-they're great for carrying extra batteries, extra billet box tanks, and extra (gasp!) cartos.

as far as the Diver is concerned, i would suggest picking up a few extra ceramic cups, and maybe even the ready made coils they carry. if you can, also pick up some "ready wire", which will save you time and hassle with rebuilding-they're already welded with nr/r/nr wire, so you won't have to tie any knots.

i honestly get a fantastic, consistently damn near perfect vape using plain ol' standard res cartos. i prefer the ones with the bigger pre-drilled holes, like you can get from IKV or electronicstix. i don't know why cartos get such a bad rap-i love them. they have always worked great for me on all my vv devices, and especially in the billet box. i love my diver, but i really do prefer using standard cartos in my bb tanks. i kind of suck at rebuilding, though... so there's that.

either way, congrats on getting your billet box. welcome to the party!

Thanks for your input... very helpful!! I'll grab a few cartos to check out the vape in the BB... just for the ease-of-use factor. Im open minded.

Wonder if I can get away with NOT using the NR wire and just running resistance wire? That would be a ton more convenient.

Anyone know anything about flanged/flangeless Divers, which I want, and how to tell the difference?

I'm a ready, fire, aim kinda guy... I know...

WooooHooooo!!! Congrats Chornbro! :D I have the Boge SR pre-punched (2 holes) and they work good ... BUT the slotted SR Boges are MUCH better I think! And they last a LONG time! I got mine at Surevapes (free shipping)!

I got some of the slotted ones too-From Kidney Puncher. I'm still trying to decide if I like them better or if they are about the same as the big hole Boges or Ikenvape cartos. They work great, but I have had a bit of flooding with my first one. Could be my juice, which is on the thin side. I'll have to try a few more before I decide for sure. I have had almost no issue with the larger holes, though. Aside from the occasional dud, which is part for the course with cartos in general.
