thank you for the video!

i had some leaking issues initially w/the flangeless diver in the BB til i used cotton fed downward between the ceramic cup & the base. no leaking! my issue next is the draw is soooooo tight (cannon ball through garden hose, eh?). perhaps i was a bit too ambitious in feeding the cotton back up into the hole of the ceramic cup where the brass center pin goes :lol. will thin it out & try again. i was just so happy to taste my juice [stop it] & not experience the leaking. can't wait for the perfect rba to be created for the BB. . .must. . .have. . .
i'm getting close to the point of giving up and just building a standard gen type wick type one.... i REAALLLLY didn't want to do that becasue you would have to keep it upright.... still don't know if i want to do that.. i have ideas..i have cad models, i will pull the trigger on something really soon... i actually did pull the trigger on one idea and have the tooling i need to prototype coming... but will it work? hell if i know, looks good on the computer model, but in real life... who knows... i'll find out soon....

have you tried BSD's conDoor? The micro coil route in that puppy can be wrapped wide to give some really high airflow... lot of options with it if your down to tinker...

It's definitely the filler balls on both my tanks. Every time I fill, I have to mess around with them for a while to get them to stop leaking, and they start up again by the time I get towards the end of the tank. I think they are just showing their age. It's time to replace them I suppose.

And Doug......I definitely wasn't crakin on the Billet Box, just aggravated as heck with my poor old tanks. Personally, I still think the BB is one of best things on the market, and I consider it a privilege to own one.

When will more regular tanks go up?

this week is tank week, like shark week, but with no sharks... and tanks... ugghh,,,, so "soon" is what i'm gettin at....anyway.. i really wish i could help here. that's really why i'm here.... so we can get better.. i didn't know this was happening... and it's wired that it happens towards the end of the juice level, if your only going through a tank every few days would it help to just top it off every other? Typically through the course of a tank i will at some point just slide the cover down and give the face of the tank a push to force feed the coil as i chain vape when i'm thinking hard, or pooping... this pushing on the face helps seat the thing, maybe next time your about at the halfway point, give that face a little push and see if that helps.. but i'll keep this in mind, if i can think of a better way to do anything, i will act on it!

neat-O, i don't know exactly the history of the diver with regards to the flange and length... but i did just receive one in the post from atmistique and it was a drop-in fit... apparently pregnant chick was e-mail'n with um and they have had requests for a BB specific one, so that's either happening, or will happen or something... but i have one in my box right now, so it definitely is a real type thing, and it works great, no leaks, no cotton, just out of the box (actually they send stuff in little bags), and into the box, push button, vapor comes out.

I saw a Korean guy's BB + Diver video on Youtbe (I habla Koreano). He had *normal* diver in his billet box with a flange. Only part his didn't fit was the brass thing on the top that push/hold down the atty/carto to the positive connection didn't screw on flush. It seems to me he could've just hid the gap with a bit of o-ring if he wanted to (it actually didn't look that bad).

I have two divers and one is just a slightly shorter than the other one (I think it's the newer one I recently purchased). I'm going to try this to see in BB. Worst case, I'll just grind down the top a bit. My bigger problem is getting a consistent build on the diver without it leaking.

I'm confused about the brass BB. You're making it to keep the flippers from flipping the aluminum version?

In any case, I would love to have a brass BB :)

Yeah, it just seems like they'll just flip the brass one for $800 or something. Exclusivity is what fuels flippers, and this brass mod would be even more exclusive (unless, of course, you make the same number of brass mods as you do aluminum, which would take time away from making the aluminum mods and make the problem worse).

My thoughts on the idea of a Brass BB as a flipper-fighting feature are all over the map, but suffice it to say I follow the logic and overall think it's a good thing.

Of course some of these will get flipped, too, but with any luck it will give those with both disposable income and desperation a chance to get an even more "exclusive" mod while still feeding the hand that ... feeds ... them. I think ... and with a bit more luck it will make potential flipees think twice before dropping the same dosh on a flipped BB Standard.

If nothing else, when added to the already in-place efforts to limit sales-over-time to individuals and blacklist known flippers, it's yet another prong in what I consider to be the most comprehensive effort by any mod-maker to try to get their wares into the hands of meat-and-potatoes Joe and Jane Vaper in the face of the production limitations inherent in maintaining total control of manufacturing (and thus quality control). The ONLY real concern, I think, is what effect the production time for these units has on on production volume of the BB Standard, and on DD's free time. As much as I know how much DD loves this stuff, burn-out happens ... And momma always said, "Happy Maker, Happy Vaper." (Well, maybe that wasn't really momma, but still. . . .)

That said, being a retired Sailor, the thought of being able to get a BB in Naval Brass is truly inspiring ... And frustrating.
I could not possibly justify the cost.
And of course, right now they've got the wrong dolphins engraved in 'em.

Now, make one that has Submarine Warfare insignia (a.k.a. "Dolphins") engraved either inside or out:

... And I'd seriously have to consider which organ goes on the black market.

I wouldn't be able to justify it either.

But I'd probably choose to take the beating, if the opportunity arose.

Given a chance, I'd always rather put the $$$ in modder's pocket than a flipper or even a reseller.

Same. I'd have waited another year for them to become available, if that's what it took. I've got "things" to keep me plenty busy.

I'll sell stuff, but never at retail-or-higher. Not that I've a problem with it, just that it's not or for me.

Oh I'd justify it somehow...where there's brass, there's a way. I'll sell 4 other mods if I have to :)

And what's a 5 minute beating compared to years of vaping pleasure

Not only that, these flippers are ruining it for the real vapers here in Cali, which bugs me to no end. :-x

Real vapers of California... I saw that one on TV the other nite. No dragon clouds whatsoever. Not a single subohm in site. Everyone was over 49. Milligram levels from 18-24. No black tee-shirts and no rap music. I saw eGos and carto tanks!!

I was sleeping while watching it, wasn't I...
