How Kata, how is it you suspect the vape to be superior to a carto (karto)? Isn't that a bit like pizza being superior to tacos? If the folks at Atmistique (who design and manufacture RBAs) hate cartos, AND a lot of rba users also are feelin' the hate, does that mean that cartos are bad?

I do really appreciate the fact that we all like what we all like, but to say that what *I* like is inferior, welp, that's just A1 silly to me. If I could, I would ask OCD to step up and reveal his ever-increasing sales reports.

Anchovies, or cilantro?

Where did I say cartos are "bad"? Please point this out. I missed it. Just because someone hates something, doesn't make it "bad". Anchovies and all. Your words, not mine.

Since I have to justify everything I type in this place, here's why I "suspect they are superior", from a review of the modpowerkit:

"I did learn something about Kanger coils during this review period as well. I have complained many times about a metallic taste in the Kanger ProTanks and others, yet with the mod powerkit tank there was no metallic taste at all. This led me to discover than it was never the coils that caused me to experience a metallic taste, it was all the other metal in these tanks, from the drip tip to the casings. I gained a lot of respect for Kanger coils through this review."

Same coil, different tank, better vape experience. One man's opinion, of course. Just like mine. Actually, not even my opinion, just my suspicion. A real world test will help me formulate an opinion. Alas, my opinions get doused with lava, for some reason.

I'm very excited about this device. I hope it delivers. You end up replacing 80% of the base metals in a carto with surgical steel. This is an improvement in and of itself. Real world performance will tell us if it translates into a better vape experience.

Let me ask this question: If you got one of these, and it was better than your cartos, and just as easy to use, would you switch?

Yes.

I'd choose the "easy & better" combination in pretty much every walk of life.

Did you see the one by serenity gear
SerenityGear Leather - Home

Haha, Tim (Serenity Gear) is the guy making it. That was another prototype he didn't send to me as I felt it would still be too hard to get out of the case. Guess he decided to give a go at selling that one. And he will make it with a belt loop. What he is working on is pretty much that case with some small cutouts on the sides too. Also, for mine it will have a full flap across the top. Just hate having the drip tip outside of the case.

So guess the cat's out of the bag now.

Oh Kata, my apologies. I think I was having a carto leaky/floody day (and in fact, most analogously, I have been). You did not say 'bad'. You said superior. So MY 'bad'.
And no more Mt. Etna rumblings from this gatta. Sorry 'bout that.

And in answer to your question, that would be an easy peasy "Of course, I would." (try them).

Supremely stoked! I work on Saturdays and have missed every sale for the last 6 months. I've been stalking the classies and last week scored a Rev2 which is vaping most awesomely. Happened across a rev3 today and picked that one up as well. I'm not normally a carto guy but they aren't that bad in this device. I love this thing and am glad I scooped it up.!

I actually like that one and if it had a button hole cut out you could use it while you are out without taking it out of the case. Then take it out once home.

You should buy it. I am sure you're probably crafty enough to simply punch out a button hole. Buy a proper size punch and put a small block of wood inside would be simple. If you could give Tim accurate enough measurements, he would be more than happy to do it for you. Really nice guy.

It just wasn't the case I was looking for.

I concur. I've brought a few things from him and he's dynamite to work with. I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for things of that nature.

Alright peeps, we have 22 members now in the official Billet Box group. How about the rest of you putting down the BB for a second and joining. Then start putting up some posts!!!

Thank you for your support!

Yeah! I haven't seen Karto-Kween or (what's she call him?) Drewdelicious (NOT ME, DREW!), or GG, or ANYBODY who's professed their carto-love over there yet.

Move on it, peeps!

No worries, dear. I kind of figured you might be having a bad day. FWIW, it seems to be going around, it's not just you or me. I suspect it is cabin fever for a lot of us.

We are all united against analogs. All else is just details.

Also FWIW, as I try to improve the vape experience of folks on cartos, I do exactly the same for everyone else, including myself. I try new things all the time, and I recommend things to folks even when I don't use or like them myself.

Got a Sofia? Try a Diver as well. Got a Diver? Pick up a Sofia, you never know, you might prefer it.

And every single person I've pushed towards a BB, I ALWAYS suggest to them to start with a carto setup. If you are happy with it, why deal with the hassle of an RBA? You can always try a Diver after you are happily vaping with a carto, and see if the trade-off, if any, is worth it.

Here's the dirty little truth: users of RBAs are jealous of those who can enjoy cartos and clearos. We're both smiling, but you get the same smile with a tenth of the work.

So I suspect what we're really trying to do is get the same smile with the same amount of work. And I enjoy pushing for that Holy Grail.

I wish I lived in a cabin! I have 'shoebox' fever.

Yes, we're all united in favor of vaping, and my hope is that we are also united against stooopidity. It seems to be a dis-ease of epidemic proportions lately. :(

Like you, I'm totally on board with everyone trying new things, particularly if they want to improve their vape. I've done just that for a bit over 3 years now. ("And I try, oh my Gawd, do I try!" - I'm a Non Blonde) After much holy grailing and fiddling with this-that-and the next thing, I've returned to the one style of vaping that suits me, pleases me, and gives me the consistency I desire. Ergo, kartos.

And while we're on the topic of soiled lies, we karto lovers might just be a tad jealous of the clearo peeps! I find clearos to be a LOT easier to manage than karto tanks. However, that little bit of effort reaps huge benefits in terms of taste to me.

So what's in everyone's shopping cart today? :)

I just got a new little drip tip. ;) Meet Disco Kween.

Ok, just got the pics for hopefully the final rev for the Billet Box case. And to echo the earlier thread, it is through Tim Brown via the Serenity Gear web site. SerenityGear Leather - Custom Made Items

The case will be regular priced at $59.95 plus shipping and he does ship internationally. I am also sure he will modify it to anyone's particular needs (the thin strap, color, cutouts or not, leather, metal or no belt strap) since he has all the BB dimensions.
