... I would recommend the 3.0ohm ARO heads as the higher ohms will result in lower temps at the coils, so the risk of dry hits are minimized, also the battery life will be increased.

Hope this helped.

This is like my new soldering iron running at 800 degrees, WANT TO TOUCH BUT NO CAN TOUCH.

Not sure what your soldering iron has to do with this, but here is an example...

At 4.5vdc and 1.8ohms you pulling 11.25 watts of power at 2.5amps
At 4.5vdc and 3.0ohms your pulling 6.75 watts of power at 1.5amps

So at higher ohms your pulling less power, and using less wattage meaning the operating temp will be lower and batteries will last longer.

Did I miss something?

That part that you're missing may be that at 4.5vdc and 3.0 ohms and 6.75W, the vape would be pretty anemic. You'd quickly crank up the voltage to something akin to the 11.25 watts to get a better vape. Hence, the ohms don't make that much of a difference if you know the Power you want to vape at.

LOL no, there was a... heated discussion a while back about this. Let's just say some of us agreed to disagree.

Correct but since the BB is limited to 5.5vdc the max you'll achieve is 10.08watts at 1.83amp at 3.0ohm, a far cry from 11.25 watts of power at 2.5amps. It will be a cooler vape, but for a person concerned with burning and dry hits due to respiratory problems, it may work for them. Was a suggestion not mandatory compliance LOL
Just didnt get the soldering iron reference.

Here is a BB specific wattage chart that might help someone in the future.

Watts_zpsb144ce1c.jpg

I am sure these have been posted before, but I threw one together in excel with the the current BB voltage and available atty resistance in mind. I personally like right at 8watts of power myself.

Ahh understood, was just trying to answer a person with dry hit issues because of their respiratory problem.

I was just poking fun at Drunk_J. Wait until he gets the little bottles of juice I am sending labeled "Vape Me", and he wakes up 15 inches tall with a bunch of playing card soldiers chasing him!

Thanx for the help Kataphraktos... The draw is perfect. I'll wait and see about leeks and all but seems all good for now. I can also finally
vape some of my juices with the delrin tank.

The improved airflow should address the leaks. If not, we can work on the cotton setup in the Diver thread.
