After going through a few Aspire heads and billet bridge, I can say I have pretty much zero issue with leaking or dry hits. It actually vapes good (or is that well?). Although not as good as Diver vaping, for me, it's much better than any cartos I have tried on BB.

Only negative is that Aspire heads definitely do not last that long. I seem to get fairly funky taste after 1+ weeks on it (on Grant's VC juice). I use BB partially but daily (at the office). Because of there I live, I am averaging about $3 USD for one of 'em. I'm saving all my heads to see if I can wash and dry burn them later ... or try rebuilding 'em.

I'm pleasantly surprised that two piece design seems to work and it doesn't leak at all. I have switched to clear tank (easier to mate the two parts) and fill the tank via fill hole without removing the billetbridge.

Yep, it was the switch that went bad, so looks like I am waiting until I get my switch order in from mouser.
Dan

Just another cool aspect of the bb, really simple circuit design and easy to repair for the hobbyists. The switch is pretty much the only mechanical device in the circuit which can go bad or get juiced.

Opps....duh and the potentiometer.

Oh yeah...for anyone who is not already watching this thread, check out the awesome new Sabot DDD RBA for the BB and keep up with the testing reviews. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...vod-head-prototype-mod-billet-box-only-3.html

Is there a direct replacement switch?

Sent from the open road using Tapatalk.

I will search a little more later, but this is a good starting point. The switch is about 7.5mm and this is 7mm, I didn't measure the stem. But it gets you in the ball park of switches that can be used. I would, however, look at the sealed switches if juice was the issue.

Here is a sealed - but again, I have not measured it against the original.

Hello Folks,

Sorry for my lengthy absence, between the baby and my grandmother in the hospital its been a crazy little bit.

I got the the care and share billet bridge this past weekend (thanks Kata & the rest).

I love it. It has some drawbacks vs my cartos (if you need to swap a head with a not bone dry tank the tube can get stuck in the juice.. have fun getting it out without juicing your arms, battery life is .slightly. less for me, longevity before 'funk taste' appears to be a bit less)

Those items are all expected, so no biggy. In general I find it 100% better on the 'will this leak?' front, taste? no doubt better than my carto. Space (for those that this might be appicable) for the size of ~2 spare cartos you can fit 5 replacement heads.

All in all I love it. I ordered one, hopefully itll ship out today or tomorrow. I can send this one on to the next person (if there was), or whomever actually owns it. I set mine BB.bb for DHL so hopefully itll show up around next tuesday or so :D

Had the same problem with my pre-order v1.1, DD sent me a switch and that lasted about 2 months, the final cure was a v3 board, have had no problems since.

Nobody else on my list, if nobody comes forward, you may keep it.

First off the difference is as was stated the ARO or Kanger heads are easier to rebuild. I only run cotton wicks so even a new coil head I tear apart and rewick and coil (better flavor with cotton) silica wicks are crap IMHO. Second ease of insertion and removal, will post a vid on inserting and removing in a BB tank. ARO coil heads are preferred as the ring is smaller and does not need to be ground down plus the ARO's are 1.8-3.0 ohms see link.
Third, cheaper and made in the USA! I am going to sell the first batch of 100 in a co-op at cost 13.00 is how much the two pieces cost to have manufactured. I am not in it for the money, but to get everyone on a device that is cheap and easy to use/rebuild but is quality made.

Hope this helps answer your questions.
Dan

I know looks don't change the vape, but this looks sexy to me. I guess my biggest question is can I just buy prebuilt heads as needed, as I am not really into coil building at this point in my vaping journey? Simple, ease of use, low cost of supplies, that's my thing. Once owned, is this a lower cost to use than cartos? Is there more or less random issues like flooding, hard pulls, etc?

If you are not the rebuilding kind, then I would recommend the 3.0ohm ARO heads as the higher ohms will result in lower temps at the coils, so the risk of dry hits are minimized, also the battery life will be increased.

Hope this helped.
Dan

Anyone have a link to these heads? Average cost per or per five pack? If you don't rebuild them, what is the draw like?

Yeah you can just use stock ARO heads and switch when needed. Cost for a 5 pack of ARO heads is 6.99 Most Boge 5 packs I have see are anywhere from 8-10 bucks. So a little cheaper. With the ARO heads (Stock) I have been testing I have not gotten any gurgles, leaks or dry hits yet. The draw is very light not hard at all.
That help?

Dan, I would like to be added to the co-op list please? This will be my first co-op, so I am not sure what to do or the proper procedures to follow (other than wait politely and never nag). If references are needed, others that are interested know me and of me.

We are still in finalizing the design, then I have to get it approved. A long ways off from co-op if allowed.

Follow this thread for design changes, testing and notices.

Hmmm should we try the use for a week and pass it on to the next person game with the SABOT-DDD RBA :)

Dan

Yeeeeah, good luck getting it out of Drunk_J's tight grasp! He's already packaging up all his cartos/Divers for the classies.

You'll need a SWAT team.
