I just got my slotted cartos today and definitely like them better than the 2 hole prepunched I was using. Much easier to setup and I think I get more flavor than before.
Narcotic / garpt01- would you be willing to upload a diagram on the placement of your cuts? I'd love to try and duplicate your results.

Thanks Kat for the links and everyone for the wealth of info in this thread.

jcash,
I'm still experimenting a bit with placement, but so far I've found it's not that critical. Put one of your slotted cartos side by side with the one you are going to modify. Mark the start and end points of the "stock" carto with a sharpie. Now, I go ever so slightly lower on the bottom end, same on top. If you carefully push and pull the cutting blade back and forth as you are making the cut, (like a saw type motion) you can (SLIGHTLY) widen the slot as well. Don't go too deep and unnecessarily damage too much filler material. You can feel when you've broken through. Wash the carto to remove any possible metal flakes, prime with juice, reinstall rubber condoms, and let sit for a bit. After a few tries, I can say I'm getting at least equal performance to the Bridge, added advantage is I can pretty much chain vape with no dry hits and little loss of vapor production. Working very well!

High VG liquids have always been the thorn in the vaper's side. It's been the battle between clouds and wicking. I believe most people who vape with those liquids tend to prefer drippers.

Give me 65/35 or give me. . . welp, give me 65/35 and no one gets hurt. ;)

Anyone have trouble with thicker juices and the slotted cartos? I've been trying to get Bryce's banana pudding to work and it just doesn't want to. I get a burnt taste and even tried priming with no success.

I take 80% vg, boge carto, no hole. I punch two big hole and no problem.

just a little update

Uggg, meant to do this update on the weekend but a problem pop'd up that needed fixing. All and all, things around here have been super nuts, and it's been a good while since i'v been able to hop on here. This effort to up our production with new people and more machines was supposed to take things off my plate, give me some time to relax and spend some time designing, but until recently, it super didn't....for every victory, something broke, for every great run of parts, another jig needed re-tooling, for every new method, we needed re-training... our numbers went up, but it has been an epic ... battle... Now however, the changes have had some time to settle in... things in the shop have fallen into a much better flow, and it's time for me to change my position and focus on designing and prototyping new thingys, and maybe even spend some time around here (despite the new look that i'm currently having mixed feelings about).

Starting next week i am going to start full time (mostly) designing and prototyping. First things first, I want a glass faced tank for the BB. I ordered a bunch of different types of glass and i'll just see what i can do with it. With so many nice looking rebuilds and adapters for the BB i want to have a tank that shows um off a bit..

There has been neat-o new stuff i would have typically updated on, like new jigs and new machines and such, but everything has been so go-go-go... i haven't been taking pics. But last week we got a new toy that i'm kind'a in love with.. This is Quinn...

she is a 10hp 3phase air compressor with a 120gal tank and refrigerated air dryer.... and she sounds like a jet.

umm,,, let's see... as far as neat new jigs i did make these for the tank hole operation that are kinda neat-o...

well i think so anyway...

i'v had to re-make jigs to do the tank holes at least 4 times now, so this time i though i would overkill the heck out of it... so all that huge chunk of aluminum does is hold the tank while it gets drilled and has the o-ring channel milled....should last a while though...

in other news, we're doing a new color this week, next weeks batch will be clear anodized again but we just got the process ready for this color and said what the heck...

turquoise

anywoo,,, like i said, just a little update... but i should be round here a bit more from now on with the production floor being able to run without me full time....

50pg/50vg boge slotted no problems with wicking here

I take 80% vg, boge carto, no hole. I punch two big hole and no problem.
. Make more or larger hole

that's a big spread..

one thing i'v been picking up on over time is that one juice makers raw materials may be thicker or thinner than another makers. So those numbers have started to mean less and less to me... I'v had some 50/50 wick just fine in an aspire head, and other 50/50s didn't have a chance... last week i had some 90vg/dripper only juice running just fine in the SabOOtDDDx2000.. i come to trust how thick a juice is by how it moves when i tilt the bottle.

I`ve been stalking this thread now for so long and i think it is time to write something my own and to say thank you all for your informations about BB`s , Cartos, RBA`s and Updates ect. I own different and many Mod`s but all i buy, nothing compares to the BB. I like to use my Limelight Pipe but after a while, i go back to BB. I like to blow some Clouds on my Zenith but after a while i go back to my BB. This is happening all the time. I own 4 BB`s now and sure no one will ever leave me, they`re dead stock ;-)
BTW i used Divers, Cartos, BB Bridge still like the Bridge over the others. The reason: more Vapor production and flavor. This might be a matter of taste but the Diver is good too just a little tricky to get no dry burns or flooding. Special thanks to DD for this amazing Device it is so unique and designed with good taste :).

You`re Welcome!! I really can imagine how much work is behind such a development and enjoy every day. I am really happy you are bringing the glastanks back because i think it is so much nicer in the BB even if i have to open it up to enjoy the inner design what i do very often ;-)

William Morris (1834-96) said, "If you want a golden rule that will fit everybody, this is it: Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful". The BB is both. And can take it out of the house, too.
