hey turbocad6, you can tell if it's a clone from the voltage dial. The clone BB has muddy, smeared numbers compared to the sharp numbers on the original.

I have seen the clone next to my BB. The clone is quite recognisable. The screw is different rounded, shallow cuts, the carbon fibre doesn't feel as thick so you can feel sharper edges where the aluminium joins. Its hard to explain but it feels lighter. The accessories are not quite interchangeable, the tanks are a slightly different size. In pictures they look close but if you know the actual BB then you can tell the clone

when I said not that complicated I meant that anyone with a drill and a dremel and an adventurous tinkering side should be able to do it, 2423kids your tool kit prolly won't cut it


I've been looking to get my hands on a clear tank and was talking to a buddy of mine about this and turns out he has a BB that he never got to work well for him and he never uses it, it's an older one I guess, it's polished with a clear tank. I worked out a potential trade with him and just waiting for him to bring it in to work one day. he got it as a gift so not sure even if it's a clone or not, does anyone know how can I tell? I really don't want a clone but not sure how I can even tell since he didn't buy it himself

the KF mini has been working pretty good but I've noticed that in this larger tank it doesn't always feed quite as well as it did so I modded it a bit to increase juice flow and now it's working perfect consistently. I just recieved my billet bridge and a bunch of bvc coils but now have no way to even try them, I would need a stock tank to try them, not so sure I should bother but I am curious if there much better than the diver was. they look like they would be pretty tedious to rebuild but maybe there not so bad as-is? I feel like I should at least try them to compare to the kf mini at least, maybe if I get that BB from my friend I'll try them in that tank before I mod the clear tank to the kf mini

Krisma SHOULD be sleeping now, and I expect she is, but when the sun rises down under, she might be able to provide you with the identifiable differences between the two devices.

Kat also saw a clone up-close-and-personal, but I'm not certain she recalls the exact differences. IF I recall correctly, the inside panel (of a clone) will have the letters "BB" instead of the words "Billet Box" etched in.

IF I remembered that correctly, well, dayum - I'll be pretty impressed with myself. And now my head hurts.

The video that compares them is accurate. The voltage output is not the same and clone does not fire at the level on the dial. I don't remember the etching but I think they were version 2.1 ( don't quote me, I need to check the video)

I never saw the non anodized version of the actual BB so I am assuming except for the thinner finish they are visually the same. The etching is lighter

Just on the differences between the clone and the actual. While I think about it. The button is thin and the silver ring around the button is sharp and wavy on the surface as opposed to a flat looking milled properly piece of metal.

I just ordered 2 of the kits, I am looking forward to these, I like the bottom piece that threads onto the 510 connector, no more dumping out a tank inside my BB.

It would be better with the short. But the screw that comes with the kit will work on the long, might be messy if you need to take out the tank as you would have to remove it from the tank before taking the tank out. If it was full of Eliquid it would flood.

There is a link to instructions on the site, but you can use any size sophia with the kit, I am using a short body in mine right now, which I think I prefer, because I can take the tank out, with the other sizes, you wont be able to until the tank is empty.

Now, as far as the B Box clone goes, Krisma is definitely our go-to expert. I did see, touch, and vape one, and DPL's partial recollection of my limited experiences was somewhat correct. (How's THAT for indecisive.)

I can understand the clear tank, tho I really find the delrins preferable, but I don't think I now understand putting an adapter on it. Doesn't that defeat the beauty of the design of the B Box??
