We don't even celebrate thanksgiving but our shops still have sales for them.

You should see it. This was close on the heels of Halloween. Another one that people went crazy over. Lucky I am a bit out of the way so I didn't have a tribe of kids appearing at my door. It's all a marketing plot. Not only do we get all these we also get all the Asian holiday excuses for sales.
We hardley ever get kids on halloween thank God.
And to think today is my daughters birthday so she get's beat out of that.
