That was in response to the sleep much comment...........

When you live where I do the birds get up at dawn and sing in the sunrise. Sounds beautiful and restful doesn't it.

Well trust me it is beautiful and Loud

I understood.

We have different sounds here. Garbage trucks, dogs barking, and an occasional gun shot. Different stuff, but loud is loud.

I'm still here on ECF... sort of. ;)

I see ;-)

Oh! Your kartos are in motion (you too, 2423kids!). Sorry it took so long. I fell behind.

Slackah.

(the snake made me say it.)

And on LOUD..... I used to have a waterfall in the back yard. It was THE desired property. I had to move cuz I couldn't talk on the phone, with the door CLOSED.

My father made the mistake of taking me to my first football game, in 1971, at the Orange Bowl. A lifelong Giants fan (and a very close friend to Andy Robustelli), he regretted it until the day he died. They beat the Cincinnati Bengals that day, and went on to the Super Bowl. They got CRUSHED by the Cowboys, but that didn't matter.

The fact that they were up and coming, along with my liking their colors, killed me for life. There were some great years, particularly 72 & 73, but then things went south for awhile (pun intended).

Then came Marino. When EVERY week was fun. FUN!!!!

Then, well... (sniff), not so much.

But I still dig their colors.

That's hysterical. They don't even like those colors.:D:lol::thumbs:

That's funny. I've had neighbors say the same thing about living next to ME. Hmmm. Coincidences - funny things, them.

And that Ladies and DP IS how it's done. ;)

Yes. And right after I come home from the emergency room I'll still have a tank without o-rings.

But thanks for thinking of me.

I'm kidding. I've changed o-rings before, if I must tell the truth. I'm not sure why I'd start doing that NOW, but I guess something came over me. Insanity, most likely.

Because I have a lot of tanks I am really good at orings. I even have an o-ring man in my teledex (is anyone old enought to know what they are)

Not me ;)

And the DPLish one. Do you know the history of the Marino pick? Art Rooney II ended up in exile over that pick. He was in charge of the Steelers draft, with the operative word being WAS. Now he's not even connected with the team in any way.

Can you imagine how many more Super Bowls the Steelers could have had if they hadn't passed on Marino? Oh, the humanity.:cry:

I do. I was a fan of his while he was a Pitt, and was STUNNED when they passed him by. And everyone else too. I was jumping up and down in my room like a little kid. And I was 23 years old!!!!

If Marino had gone to the Steelers, there's a GOOD chance I'd have become a Steelers fan. Remember, we were dealing with David Woodley and Don Strock at the time (nicknamed Woodstrock - one of the best EVER).

So yeah, I remember it well. And thanks, just by the way.

Did you watch the "Elway to Marino" special on ESPN 30-for-30? It was all about the 1983 draft. It was marvelous.

So............ You were 23 in 1983 (Is that the cat out of the bag) LOL

The only bags here are the occasional ones under my eyes. And I'd NEVER put Kat in a bag. She's much to feisty for that.

Yeah, I can't say that I blame you. With that team the sky wouldn't have even been a limit.

I was 31, had 2 girls, and in a couple of years, would be starting a whole new life.
