Boge dry hits. Just wondering if there any tips to avoid this.
I'm using a home made liquid 70/30 pg/VG. Initially had the small hole prepunched boges and constantly getting dry hits. I decided maybe the juice was maybe a bit to thick so I bought a pack of the laser slotted bogs that have much more filler exposed. Still getting dry hits though even with the set up. Am I missing something obvious here, what am I doing wrong?

I use Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil. If it was good enough for feisty ancient Greek wrestlers...
Are you saturating the carto before putting it in the tank? I use 50/50 and don't have any issues with the slotted boges. Every now and then I have to push lightly on the face of the tank in the middle to feed but only in the beginning and not all the time.
I assumed so. Have been using the condom method. Things start off great for the first five mins or so but then the dry hits start. I get this occasional on my SnP tank and I can fix it but taking a few tokes with the fill holes open. Doesn't look like an easy way to to do a carb hole method on this device.
The squeeze methods sounds worth a try though. I'll give it a go. Thanks!
Im using damn near 100% VG i punch two large holes 180 degrees about 10-12mm up and never really have dry hits i do prime the carto well and press the tank a few times till it stops bubbling cheers andy

LOL! Yes, Crocky, side by side. It's much more "Thick" than "Long" (cough).
But the belt comment was for (other)Kat, with the Brass BB. Because THAT sucker is 25% HEAVIER than the (house-bound) dual-650 of which I referred.
But like I said, it's pretty (darn) SWEET looking too. To the point where I said, "Idunno, maybe I SHOULD have..."
Oh well. Too late now!
I think I solved the issue. For some reason the liquid I use just didn't want to wick properly. I tried slotted, pre punched and punched by myself stand resistance cartomisers. Every one gave me dry hits. So I took a low resistance carto and punched it with two holes and now I it vapes like a champ. No dry hits at all. Not sure why this would make a difference but I'm not complaining.
I realise LR cartos aren't recommended in this device but I'm happy to trade off battery life against the dry hit issue.

It could be that you had some bad SR cartos and just happened to get lucky and get a good LR carto.
Edit: Also, did you punch 2 holes in the SR cartos too, or just in the LR?
What is the life expectancy of the BB tanks? Granted mine are about a year old now but it seems the more I use them the more liquid seeps all over I picked up some of the Delrin tanks and I get a lot of seepage with those too

My guess is that they will last as long as they do....
Having said that, I find with the B Box tanks - the more full the better.

I guess that could be the case. I tried three SR Cartos from different batches. The first batch were punched with 2 small holes, the second from a batch of slotted cartos and the last batch weren't pre punched at all so I used my carto puncher on them. That said I have had similar issues with these batches in my SnP tanks from time to time. It's easier to deal with there though as I can just unscrew the cap a tad to create a carb hole for a couple of drags and refill the carto. Not so easy to do that with the billet box.
Anyway, no dry hits since last night so all good! Thanks for all the suggestions.
Got a BB in my basket last night, went to pay all gone, gutted hope to have more luck next week
