So I have a BB on the way and what better place to ask then here...

Standard or XL cartons fit the BB?
I also have two Diver V1's coming with it, how are they running in it?

Was just going to read for the answers but not about to read 207 pages.

Standard cartos, best prices are usually at Surevapes. I prefer the SR slotted. :)

Sorry, I don't know anything about the Diver.

I've been running the v2 Diver with the v1 pin for about a week now. I've gone through 6 tanks and 2 cotton re-wicks. After every tank, I removed it to see what was what. I alternated between 50/50 (Five Pawns Castle Long) and 100% VG (a couple of Ahlusion juices) to make sure I experienced thicker and thinner juices.

1. Every tank vaped through without any gurgling, flooding or leaking that stopped me from vaping.

2. Some juice did occasionally end up on the back of the tank and a tiny bit did appear on the front of the tank a couple of times, but this has also been seen with cartos, and it does not inhibit the vape. I suspect the juice is coming from the fill port and not the Diver, as the fill port is very wet, and the bottom of the tank is dry or has a hint of condensation.

3. The airflow is looser, near perfect with the v1 pin. This is likely why it isn't experiencing that gurgle/flood/leak event about 2/3rds of the way through every tank.

For those complaining that they can't get a good vape out of the Diver, or that the Diver is too difficult, all I can say is, every rebuildable has a learning curve. My easiest atty is the Spheroid, and it took me over a month before I got to the point where I could build my perfect wick & coil any time, every time. I used to take 20-30 minutes to do a rebuild, I just did a Sofia and a Diver (including zapping the R/NR wire for the Sofia) in around 15 minutes last night.

If you use cotton wick and a stiff microcoil, you can do a quick dry burn every 3 tanks, brush the coil off with a toothbrush a bit, and rewick with some cotton ball. I am using the same microcoil in my v2 Diver for over 2 weeks now, and I've taken it out once to swap the v1 pin in, and done a dry burn and rewick at least 5 times. Theoretically this coil could last me for months or years. it almost makes me sad, because I do love tinkering and making a new coil.

What will I do with all this free time? Perhaps find me a new girlfriend.

One final note: no excuses if you can't get the Diver to give you a good vape. There's a bunch of people in the Diver forum who charge in to get every Diver at peak performance. No excuses!

The only thing I can think of is possibly a Raven? It's a carto with no filler. They need to be cut down a bit, I used an old pipe cutter.

If you'd like to try one, you can PM me your address and I'll stick one in the mail for you on Monday. Much better than having to come up with an order to the vendor big enough to justify the shipping charges. :)

I have actually tried the ravens :(. I kept getting constant leaking or dry hits...one or the other....I was like make up your mind already....LOL. Thanks for the offer though that is greatly appreciated!

I don't know. I have a love hate relationship with cartos, but for some reason for me after about 2 days it is done, I then try to go another day or so. But that first day is great.
IDK what I am going to do. I find myself going back to my BCC's, BF and kayfun on my other mods more than anything and the BB does not deserve to play second fiddle. Getting ready to jump on board the Sophia train and see if that works for me in a carto tank. We shall see. I had good luck with that type of feeder like the oddy clone so I have high hopes.
I can make the coil and wick it is all the fiddling afterwards I don't want to deal with. Once it becomes work I no longer enjoy it. If that was the case I need to be drawing a paycheck.....LOL. Just kidding I love my job!

Anyway we shall see, I may be sending her on to greener pastures....we have our first therapy session tonight and I don't want to give up and make any decisions until I at least see if she is willing to meet me halfway :). Tomorrow may be another story
Then I keep thinking who else can you drop on the concrete and it keeps on ticking!

Regardless of what I decide I still want to check in on the BB fam....

I will be buried with my BB. I wouldn't part with it for all the tea in China, or for any reason. I don't use it all the time, but I have it with me everywhere I go. I love my cartos, still... Even now that I have started using those Kayfun style attys a lot more, I always have my BB, and it never lets me down. Diver v2 is on my radar, but I will always love my cartos. #CFL (Cartos for Life)!!

Crocky, how much time did you spend with the IKV carto? Was it just a couple toots kinda thing, or did your friend give you a couple to take home and put through the paces and you still didn't care for them?

The way I feel about IKV cartos is the same way a lot of people feel about their RBA's. I just don't understand how anyone could not appreciate them. :)

Well that's fair, at least you gave them a chance. :) For me the main selling point of them is their longevity, for the 510's anywho. To me the 801's are a night and day difference though. But good luck on your "hunt" for something that makes you stay in lust, err I mean love, with your BB.

Crocky, I know what you mean about cartos. I have a love/hate relationship with them. Sure they are easy and with some juices they are great, but they tend to mute the flavor of some juices for me. Sorry Kat.

I just got my Diver V2 working with some airflow modifications (had to dremmel on my center pin) and now I have options with my Billet Box that have me falling deeper in lust with it. If any one decides to pick up a Diver V2, I recommend you select the V1 pin when ordering and save yourself some fiddling time.

Glad to hear your working it out. :-{

Even if dropped on concrete, it would still be loved in greener pastures. ;-}

Crocks, I think you need to date more toppers. I have a feeling you'll come back to cartos eventually. ;)

Moi? No apologies necessary! I'm happy vaping my cartos, and as long as everyone keeps their paws off mine, welp, Purrrrfect! I'm also happy when I hear of people vaping what THEY like. Makes not a bit of dif to me. I do tend to see the bigger picture which is that we are not smokin'. However that translates individually is fantastic in all respects.

She gave me one to bring home. It is not that I did not like them, I just did not love them. The taste/draw was about the same as the boges to me.

You're gonna make me defend cartos, aren't you? Aren't you?!?!?

From what I've read, an individual carto can be hit-or-miss - just like a single RBA build.

If the one carto you tried was off, you didn't get the real experience.

I only wrote off cartos after a few weeks with boxes of many different types and brands. Trying out a few more of the IKV, as well as a few other brands, might be a good idea.

The last box I bought, had 2 good cartos. The rest were duds.
