Ok, found a 3.0 boge. Punched carto. Filled up carto and put into tank, let it sit (had to attend to baby) then started vaping away. OMG this is the most awesome piece of vaping equipment I've ever had. I just love it! LOVE is in the air it's valentines day with a BB.

That's 3 people now waiting for new spare tanks to be released for the BB...

Make that four people please? This is such a great device that I want spare parts in case I ever have a need for them. My ProVari is now more of a backup device for me - go figure.

Billet Box questions?

First off, to be very clear, I love this mod, and would buy it over again in a heartbeat~!

But a few questions if I may?

My other device is a ProVari. Using Tanks and the same brand cartos and same juice, 2.0 ohmin the Provari at 4.0 volts, and the taste is great. 3 omhs in the BB at anything over 4.25 volts tastes burnt?? 4 volts seems to be the happy spot, but the vape isn't very warm (I like warm), and the taste isn't quite there (compared to the ProVari). I use 3 ohm cartos because I read we should?

Draw is wonderful, no other issues, just the vape is cooler than I prefer, and not as much TH.

Thoughts please?

so i just got my diver v2 in the mail. i cannot for the life of me get it to make a good connection. what is the best way to get it to work well in my billet?

Do you have any other mods on which you could test it? I want to make sure the Diver is working on its own before moving to the BB connection.

Peter, I'm just wondering how well primed* the karto in the B Box might be. I was having a few probs way back when. My kartos were not feeding well, and at similar voltages to yours, I was also getting burning ones readily. Since switching over to using the slots konsistently, I've had my warm luscious vape return.

*for anyone who is interested in the KD/DPL method of soaking kartos, I'll do me best to find the previous posts. But not today. ;)

Hi Peter:). Wasn't sure if you realized that you have a voltage control in the BB... (and if you do, others may not)

For my regular standard sized Boge cartos (I THINK they are the SR, not LR... but you can check), I have the dial turned to the space right between 25 and 50 (the black dot). This is on the IV side (to the LEFT, since there's a corresponding 25-50 on the RIGHT side too)... which translates to 4.25V I believe. For my current BB blend (which is a simple Vienna Cream), this is perfect. Higher and I get burnt. Hope that helps:).

yeah it works great on chi you, and reads 1.9 on my ohm meter.

OK, cool.

Any device in the BB has to make contact with the metal piece below the tank, the part surrounded by a red washer. The brass or SS pin of the Diver has to make contact there. If the Diver center pin is too recessed into the 510 Diver base, it may not be making solid contact. I assume this because in most mods, the contact point in the 510 connector, the small center piece, usually protrudes a bit.

You should generally be able to get a better connection by tightening down the brass nut on the top of the BB a bit more, which will cause the bottom of the Diver to press down into the red washer and create a better connection between Diver pole and the BB connector. Alternatively, you could add an o-ring to the Diver pin before inserting into the Diver base, so the pin will stick out a bit more from the bottom. Or you could try removing the red washer from the BB, which will give the Diver more room to descend.

If you can, a picture of the bottom of the Diver, side view, would help determine if the Diver pin not protruding is the issue here.

Ps two brass billet boxs up for sale on the next batch tomorrow maybe.

It's always great when something is ever better than anticipated, isn't it? Congratulations, PD - enjoy it!

If you know the 'thingy' method, that is what I use with great success. Am priming my cartos just fine :)

Yuppers - my point is - unless I am goofy - the higher the ohms the carto is, the higher the volts need to be to get the same watts (or power / heat) to the vape. So, if am using a 2.0 ohm carto in the ProVari @ 4.0 volts, (same juice), then if using a 3.0 ohm carto in the BB I ought to run a higher voltage to get the same watts/heat/power to the vape - make sense? But instead, I need to keep it down around 4.0 volts or it gets burnt tasting (and I just tried it with a new carto - same result) - am lost here...

Well, we all know I'm no voltage pro:)! But from basic comparison observation... it seems to me that the BB is a mechanical with a kick, not a fully regulated device like the Provari is. I'm not sure of the exact difference between the 2 other than 1. no screen w/ incremental controls, the Provari is more like a swiss army knife mod, and 2. the Provari vape does not fall off like a mechanical with a kick does as the battery wears down. I have other kicked mech devices, and they do the same thing the BB does... drops power in a tapered way as the battery goes down. With the Provari, it's 2 speeds, full power and no power.

They are just completely different types of devices. For me, the amazing thing about the BB is the compactness. Nothing to knock/break off, no accidental button pushing (because the button is flush to the box). It is actually a paradox for me because the functionality of the BB is so spectacular that I should be able to cart it anywhere as my portable (which was my original intent), but it's so beautiful that I just want to keep it safe at home and not let anything touch it. If I had 2 of them, maybe I'd be more OK with taking 1 out to bang up:).

And I, on the other hand, never leave home without it. Wrapped, of course.

Tap, tap, tap... Talk.
