Just showing off my new drip tip, I figure we could always use more pics of BB's in the wild.

Always late to the party and always trying to play catch-up lol. Here are my dumb questions for the week:

Colored BB's wow!!! When?

Ohh and will there no longer be a non anodized BB for sale? Are they all gonna be that silver anodized ones?

Ok thats enough outta me for now and pre-thanks to those who answer my ignorant questions :)

I've had a BB for a couple of weeks and I'm travelling with it now. Since I set out I've had a couple of problems and it's my only mod on this trip so I'm going to ask for some help as I don't have time to read 11 thousand posts.

First problem is altitude pressure, the BB leaks in the plane and travelling from sea level to mountains. Probably no way round this. It has had a knock on effect of making the door stick, then I washed the BB and now it is firing constantly. The whole time the batteries are in place the mod is firing and of course it is unusable.

I've not got the tiny allen key to lift the plate that covers the electronics, can anyone give me a clue what could be causing this?

Best guess mr_jones is the switch is stuck closed or shorted from that leaked juice or the "bath". Lacking the proper hex wrench to disassemble, you may try some 90% iso alcohol in that switch area to clean it out.

I do know that a alcohol bath, followed by a thorough drying can remedy similar problems for a Provari mod. I am though unsure of alcohols effect on the carbon fiber and it's adhesive with the Billet Box. It would be prudent to contact BB product support before bathing the mod in alcohol.

You need a carto tool like shown below to remove the carto/diver/billetbridge or whatever atty you got in there (while plugging the tank and juice) and travel with both atty and the tank in a zipped bag. Otherwise, it is most likely to leak through bottom.

You probably have water inside. You may want to try the wet cellphone method and dip the BB in a bag of rice or in zipped plastic bag with desiccant (that DO NOT EAT silica bag to keep things dry). Your best bet is to fully open up BB and clean off remaining juice with alcohol first.

Yup, any kind of carto tank will leak on a plane or when changing altitude drastically on land. It's an air pressure thing, nature of the beast and all that.

As V4V said, it's best to remove the tank during the changes. Once at altitude, you should be able to press on the ball valve to allow the pressure to equalize, and reinstall the tank in your BB. This is assuming you want to stealth vape on the plane (not that I'd recommend that :p).

If you're hiking or driving through various altitudes, the same theory should apply - occasionally press the ball valve to allow the pressure to equalize.

Formerly, Provape did recommend that for cleaning the Provi... actually for Provis purchased before December 2012. They no longer recommend it due to the way they manufacture the circuit boards. Now it’s no longer advised to flush the unit with Isopropyl.

I see this particular tool in videos and all over but I don't see it in online stores...So where can I get one, please...pretty, please?

If you have any non-punched XL cartomizers (45 mm carto body) you can use one of those to plug the tank so it won't leak.
Being a bit longer than a standard cartomizer, it will stick out and seal both ends.
Punched XL carto probably will not work, unless the hole is low enough on the carto body to remain outside the tank.

An XL cartomizer also works well as make-shift carto removal tool, if you need one in a pinch.
You can use a file to take any edge off of the bottom where the atty connector is joined, if needed.
And if you have the right size of O-ring, you can even put one around the atty connector to work as temporary seal (like at the bottom of the tool in that picture).

Never underestimate the ability of a Submariner to improvise. :)

Did not know! Had to think a minute, but yes my one and only Provari is pre 2012.

Anyone know of a source for 3.0 ohm Aspire BDC heads for the Billet Bridge? I've only been able to find 2.1 and 1.8 and the 2.1's just aren't cutting it...

I know they don't come in 3.0 ohms but does anyone have a way to rebuild them that high? With 30 gauge and 10 wraps on a 2mm screwdriver I can get to 2.3-2.4 but any more wraps than that and it's to wide and will short out.

Also is a 3.0 ohms vape at high volts that enjoyable? I like 1.5-1.8 in my rebuilds but that is killing these small batteries in about 2 hours of chain vaping.
