Just make a stainless tank, design it so that the kayfun base screws into the bottom flush with the tank, you put the chimney on first, and seals at the top when you screw the base on, the top connector would have to be worked out, but yeah someone just needs to make it.

KAS

I've worked the whole top connector part out. I built an adapter from a small section of a carto tank and cut a piece from a ss driptip to fit inside and mate to the chimney. that and 2 silicone o-rings and it works flawless. tightens up fine, no leaks, atty feeds fine just like it did before the tank transfer, tastes every bit as good as it tasted before too. I've been just smiling the past few hours vaping this thing, it's awesome.

I've been looking for the best mod for the kayfun mini for a long time, I love it's vape but it looks kinda stupid on most mods. I almost got a microstick for it because it seemed like a nice compact way to run the mini but it's a mech and eh, I never bothered. I always planned on building a compact regulated mod specifically for the kayfun mini, had no idea when I ordered a billetbox that it would wind up being the perfect mod for my mini, but it really is perfect, amazing vape that's among the best of the best in taste in a sleek compact form factor, I absolutely love this thing now, it's hard to even describe how awesome this thing is vaping right now :)

Turbocad, Sir you are amazing.

no no, I just enjoy customizing my vapes to perfect for me and thought I'd share :)

here's what the inside looks like and how I did this. it's really not that complicated.

the piece between the short carto section and the cut down kayfun chimney is just cut from a SS driptip. I cut it right past where it protrudes from an attie and then cut an o ring groove in it. the silicone o ring came on the driptip and the o ring on the chimney was made by cutting a thin slice from a silicone hose. I wouldn't use rubber o rings here, silicone is better for this part

the wicking and the build. 13 wraps of 28 ga at 1/16" id, 1.4 ohms, wicked this time with rayon

if anyone really wanted to do this then as I said, the billet box itself needs a little tweaking too but it's nothing crazy, all you'd need is a dremel and a little patience. I can show exactly what to do if anyone wants to do it. hopefully someone see's this and makes a drop in tank that's a little shorter and doesn't require cutting the BB but I wouldn't hold my breath, this may only exist as a DIY mod and honestly it's not extremely difficult

Shoulder surgery on my left shoulder tomorrow (and I'm left-handed) so You may not see me post for a few days. Very cool mod, but way too much for my hands to even think about doing.

Hey Peter - just wanted to wish you luck tomorrow. When you're back up to it, let us know how you're doing. Positive vibes your way!

What do I THINK??... ;)

Welp! I think you ought to get right on this! I did one JUST like turbo's and had only my handy dandy ring mandrel, a pair of pinking shears, a miniature fly swatter, and a 1/2 full tube of lip gloss. It was a piece o' cake!

(anybody got a B Box I could use for awhile?) ......

On a serious note, Peter, all the best to you. Swift surgery and swifter recovery, hon! We'll look forward to your return when you can type!
