I just recently started using a Billet Bridge, so I'm not TOO familiar with them, but based on looking over the DIY Billet Bridge instructions I may have an idea for replacing the bottom trim piece of a real-deal Billet Bridge.

What I'm thinking is that if you have a spare 510 extender and a Dremel tool or something else to cut/grind with, you should be able to cut off the bottom/threaded part of the extender to make what is basically a 510-threaded ring, that should be able to replace the bottom part of the Billet Bridge (and would be open enough that the pin of the BVC atomizer can be left as-is).

Might be something that'd work in a pinch, anyway....

If you don't have any tools you can just exchange pins and it works perfectly. If you decide to cut it there is a little inside ledge that you need to get rid of. The other thing is the additional little ring on a longer extension works if you have newish o-rings, there is a flat bit that will leak slightly if your o-rings are a bit old.

it fits perfectly and the tiny orings in the coil head make a good seal in the extension bit. Glad the instructions helped

I lost one of the parts to my billet bridge.:( for the life of me I cannot figure out what happened to it. darn it all to heck anyway! super bummed...

KK I asked atmistique to sell me a couple of spares before I did all this with the DIY bridge and they were more than happy to. It looks like pare of the coil and I know I am going to turf it when I do a clean.

May have figured a DIY Billet Bridge tweak for Billet Box here...

A little rough filing/shaping of the end of a cut-off carto tube...

... So it fits slightly into the top of a BVC coil...

And gets pinched together in a BB tank:

Made the cut-off carto tube a shade too long so haven't tested it yet, but I'm thinking when the tube is the correct length and the brass ring is snugged up it probably won't leak.... and the metal-to-metal contact should allow it to work in the Billet Box.

Time for some dinner and back to the workshop, I guess. :)

Anybody know if the borotank will be available again next week? I ordered a billet bridge yesterday, so my rev 1.1 BB will likely be getting good use again. I'm thinking the borotank would make swapping coils and filling the tank easier with the billet bridge.

If this works well, a newer BB might be in my future. The green looks pretty cool, if Doug makes a batch again soon and I can order in time. It sounds like the anodizing process might make it easier to keep the door sliding smooth, too.

A 510 male to 510 female works good too (or is that what you are calling an extender). It is what we used for making the Condor RBA. Also the bottom of a Sabot should also work. That is what i am using now in my redneck billet bridge.

Kable, as much as I love my "raw" B Box (original version) and will not ever let it part from my life, the anodized are FAR superior in several ways, and you nailed the primary one. It is smooth as silk, and requires FAR less cleaning and maintenance. LOVE it!

willow eyelidsdrooping, why would I want to PM you? I'm keeping yer glass faced tank. :p

Ever seen a 1-armed paper-hanger working? Neither have I. Due to suddenly finding out they are calling for 3-6 inches of snow here late tonight/tomorrow, I needed to move the snow-blower from the shed to the garage, and put my lovely wife's winter-only tires on her little car.

Of course, being left-handed and 3+ weeks post-op on my shoulder what would normally take me 40 minutes has taken me 2+ hours and the kind help of said lovely wife (who thinks rolling tires is fun). I purposely did not glove my left hand as a reminder - and of course my left hand just got very dirty ;)

Anyone wanna bet there will be no snow tonight?
