Hey everyone how's it going? I just discovered this mod lately and if any of you know me ill find a way to get it soon. Had a question, has anyone tried a killer 705 in it? I would think it would work but I am not entirely sure. Thanks in advance!

Just saw the question on the dual coils, I'm using 2.5 ohm standard smoktechs from Madvapes. I ordered them as the only thing I use is the 2.5 xl and didn't want to start over looking for something that would replace them. Got my BB in and started to set it up and found out that I should of read the fine print on the cartos, they're 36mm and not the 35 that the BB was made for. Wont fit. Checked in all my vaping junk and no 510 standard cartos anywhere, not even a black one I could pull the cover off of. Now I was starting to get seriously frustrated. Got nice new toy and can't use it. Ok, lets make the carto shorter, I own files.

A while later I've filed it down to where the tank will just go in if you hold it just right, filled it , primed the carto and tried this work of the machinist art. The draw felt like an ultra light that someone had enlarged the holes in the filter, all air no vape. At first I wondered about the carto as I had never used the short one before but it turned out that the only seal on top is DDs nicely machined surface on the brass insert and the straight factory edge on the carto. Back to square one as I don't have the equipment to shorten cartos to factory finish.

Lets take the tank out and look again, oh noes, once it's in the BB you can't "hold it just right" to get it out, the carto was just a touch to long. It took about 30 min of careful prying while using the correct vocabulary to convince it to leave it's home. At this point , after cleaning up the 5ml of e-joose I went in to watch a couple of hours of tv with SWMBO before I did something that I'd regret later.

Came back to my problem and realized that it wasn't a carto length problem, it was a to small hole problem as DD had designed the BB for 35mm cartos. That's when I started looking at the BB wondering if a little file work would cure my trouble. 15 min later the dual coil dropped in like the BB was made for it, all I had to do was file a small section out about 1mm deep and everything started working just like DDs video. If it works I'm posting a picture of where I filed it in case someone else wants to mod their BB the same way. I am careful not to over tighten the brass insert as I don't want to screw up the red seal on the bottom.

It has been working great since then, I even attached a lousy phone picture of it at work, it looks at home in a shop, just another one of my tools.

I even drop checked it once, turned around in the office and knocked it out of my hand, score BB 1 Drip Tip 0, think I'm going to continue using the cheap acrylic tips so they'll break and not screw with the BB.

Thanks DD for building something that just does what it is supposed to, looks good and will take the kind of abuse that someone who spends their time in places that are not the best environment for plastic will subject it to. The BB is a lot like my toughbook, made to be used wherever you need it to work without complaint. If you want me to, PM me and I'll mail you one of these damn overlength cartos to play with.

Doug Dino, you are a genius! Plain and simple, a genius. I have been stinkie free for over 2 years and I love all my box mods from my one of a kind Phids (see my blog post) to my GRIP that I use everyday. I never even thought about buying anything else. There were some things that I felt could be better about each of them but was willing to live with them as they worked and worked well.

Then tonight I saw this little post on here about the Billet Box and everything changed. All of those things in my head that bothered me about other box mods and things I wish could be different, you have done them. I now have to have one of these as it is my Holy Grail! I will thank you now and have to find a way to get one in the next batch.

This is what an e-cig, mod, APV (whatever name you want to use) should be, actually this doesn't fall into any of these categories, it is the Billet Box, the new standard other must follow.

Just wanted to go back to my first post in this thread, last December. Now after a few weeks with my Holy Grail. I stand by everything I said. I sold my GRIP last week, it was my trusted everyday mod. The BB has excelled in every way. Every time I vape it, consistant, never changes, always hits like a truck. Thanks again DD, you have scored a hole in one, hit a grand slam, thrown a hail mary, scored a hat trick, whatever goofy sports metaphor I can come up with, you have topped it.

My little BB updated this morning!!! WooooooHooooooo!!! It was processed through the P.O. 18 miles away from me at 7:31 a.m. THIS MORNING!!! It will be delivered to my tiny little rural P.O. tomorrow. Ummmmmmmmm ... Now ya think I'm gonna sit here and WAIT for that to happen TOMORROW??!!!! BaaaHahahahahaha! HEADED OUT NOW!!!

Awesome! Mine departed the PO in the next city over early this morning. That usually means it will be delivered today. Now I just have to wait 5 hours. I can do this.

I just got some kanger carto's, i think this will work for me. boge carto's, or traditional carto's period, just taste so bland to me. Since i got the bb i've been lookin at other stuff to figure how i can vape my favorite juices again. One being black cheery oh yeah! w/ menthol from rawr. In the boges, the flavor was almost non existent. This happened with quite a few of my go to juices. just tasted like straight pg.

i always liked 808's (horizontal coil) i've had a few smokeless image volts around just for ....s and gigglles, so i was lookin for something along those lines. still waitin on ikenvape, but found these kangers, horizontal coil standard 510's

it's right about 510 flavor, not no bridge-less 306, but def tasty enough. I just pulled out my first one here and just filled it up. but so far, i'm happy

but the downside... the thing barely, and i mean just barely fits in the tank. the base of the carto has to be recessed just a hair, just riding on that bottom o-ring, in order to leave enough hangin out the top for that brass screw to make contact. I'll get back if i have any leaking or anything, but i think it'll be fine

i've also seen people complain about a burnt taste from these things. i just got started on my first one so we'll see how that goes. but to be honest, with my darker juices that i was only vaping cuz there were heavy on flavor, the boges were tastin burnt after 1 or two days. i know there was a few in here that just weren't likin the boges, give these a shot

i also ordered some smoov carto's from delaware vapor, but they sent me the 808's instead of the 510's, gonna try them too. then, when iken gets some stuff in, i'll try them.

I gotta tell ya guys ... This BB is absolutely AWESOME!!!!! PERFECTION in EVERY way!!! Just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!

I called my tiny little P.O. that's just one mile from my house ... And it was THERE!!! So I've had my precious BB for three hours now! (I know where are the pics, right?!! LOL!) I'll try to do a few pics later today ... Meanwhile, I'm in vaping BLISS!!! I LOVE THIS THING!!!!!!!!!!!
