Tired of my replacing my Ego batts and have been interested in a tank system for some time (I'm currently a dripper), I think this is the answer. Jumping on the BB bandwagon now. Need to get prepared though and order some cartos and batteries/charger. I think I've got the batteries/charger situation under control but I'm a bit overwhelmed by the cartos. Questions are- Where is the best place to get cartos for this use? Can I get pre-punched/drilled at an affordable price and where? Should I buy a carto punch and punch my own?

Having a carto punch is nice but not necessarily needed. A dremel works well to slot a carto as well. Prepunched cost a little more but that is counterbalanced by convenience for lazy people like me. You can get the cartos about anywhere I personally prefer MadVapes, but that doesn't mean anything as opinions are like you know whats.
I am sure other people will chime in with their personal favorites, and the opinions on to punch or not to punch are wide and varied. And welcome to the bandwagon, it is a good one to be on.

Surevapes usually has the best prices on quantity buys. I like punching my own, because I can alter the height of the hole to where I like it, plus they are quite a bit cheaper.
It's really up to you which you prefer though, I'd say try both and see which you like.

Most of the pre-drilled/punched cartos seem to have a flange on the bottom- Does this work with the BB tank?
I think you're all missing the greater point here, that Doug is awake and online.
I don't think the flange would work at all. It would stick out on the bottom of the tank, and there wouldn't be enough room to get it into the BB.
most flanged cartos are also the DCT size (or XL) and they wont work in the BB anyway. You need to get standard 35mm cartos
punched, non-flanged, 35mm boges are avaialbe. the only place i know off the top of my head that has them is fluidvapor.com
i'm sure other places have them too, but those guys are local to me, and i picked some up recently there, so they likely still have them in stock. I THINK they only have LR ones there though. not necessarily a problem.

And I am pretty sure leaking into the unit would result with this type of carto as well.
