Keeping the mod scratch free with daily use is near to impossible but I'm liking the the "matured" look of it now. The carbon plates hold up really well. Just keep the sliding plated lubed, I've been using my FP10 gun lube a drop in the groove, smear it with my finger and she is sliding smooth. As for those wondering about battery life with the recommended AW protected ICR 16340s. Just buy four, get yourself a SysMax (NiteCore) I4 or I2 intellicharger and call it a day. I work a 12 hr night shift 7p-7a. Two will last me from when i get up, throughout work, to when when i get to bed. When the batteries die, swap in some fresh ones, which i usually keep in my work bag. Always use a battery case when you carry them. Don't want them to give you a "hot pocket" if they touch change or keys ( yes i know the feeling ) and you're all set till you get home to recharge the dead ones.

I also would like to know if the yezl fit they come out better than the black aw protected batts recommended and there cheaper. If i had to choose and the yezl dont fit id go for red aw as they are higher capacity and should last much longer :)

edit to say i have read that the protected ones are a bit longer at 36mm if this is the case on the black batts then it would mean the yezl fit! but havent got any so cant measure :(

i'm thinking in terms of the exposed metal-maybe get some clear wrap on it to protect it from scuffs, etc. it's such a beautiful device, i don't want anything to happen that doesn't need to happen. don't get me wrong-i'm proud of all of my "battle scars", but this thing is just a work of art!

and thanks for the advice on the batteries. i ordered the same ones recommended on the site (4 of them) from lighthound, and they will be here around the same time my bb arrives. i've already got a multi charger, so i'm set. it's great to know you can get 10 or so hours out of a fresh pair...man, this thing is going to be my baby!

I emailed jwraps. Got carbon fiber clear carbon fiber and clear pieces for 14 bucks. Enough to cover the sides 10 times. Have to cut it your self tho

I just wanted to add... I think that the drip tip that is just going to go great with the Billet Box is any tip by
Drip Tip Designz - Drip Tip Designz . I know a few people have ordered one from there as did I in antapation of the Billet Box.
I wanted to try mine out before I got My Box, I think there is a big difference in these tips, I especially like the metal cores.
For some reason, it just sems to have a much cleaner taste (might be abit pricey, but worth the money)

I did post on Jwrap's wall on Facebook about some kind of BB wrap, they said they're working on it. Hopefully we see something pre-cut soon :)

About batteries, I think I may have to order some IMR's now that I've seen that test graph lol. I have a few pairs of the ICR's sitting here ready to be used, but the more pairs the better haha.

Personally, I have a couple of basic SS Mings kicking around I enjoy using, and will look great on my BB. Not too keen on wrapping my box up with a Jwrap, though -- I'll let it age and degrade naturally. Ultimately, it's a work of art, but it's also an item I'll be using every single day, and I'm not going to compromsie my enjoyment of it by wrapping it up in bubblewrap whereever I go.

Haha, I agree.. I definitely want to preserve its beauty, but I'm personally not a fan of wraps
