Hello my BB friends, so much to catch up on in one day! :)

Got my ravens in today and cut one down to size, it was super easy using the mini pipe cutter and smooth as well. Have not tried it yet as I just put in a new carto yesterday.

Anyway here are a couple of pics

Ugh I cannot upload the other one after I cut it for some reason

Let's try again

Always easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission LOL ;)

That my GFs sentiments exactly. She also was a smoker and when I switched to vaping so did she. I got her some girly Egos and some CE2 stardusts or whatever their called. She still vapes a little, but very low nic like 2 or 4mgs. And always some flavor I find god awful LOL. But even though when she asks how much a new vape toy I got costs, she doesn't say anything negative, yet I can tell she wants to be like "...!! You spent how much on a metal tube/box!"

Ha. Well I have an ace up my sleeve too. If she asks anything about cost, I say, "So about the bakers dozen of Louis handbags you have in the closet...."

The conversation is over at that point. LOL

First drop of my baby.
Texting, holding my BB, and grabbing things out of the passenger seat as i exited the car in a rush getting back to work from lunch.

Play by play (seemed to be in slow motion): It slipped from my hand, hit the vinyl door panel (thank god) bounced up, my foot shot out with ninja-cat-like reflexes to hackey sack its downward momumetum as best I could before the inevitable impact with the concrete (ended up being only about a 6 inch drop rather than the full 3 feet if it fell straight from my hand to the floor).

BB took it like a champ, but did not walk away unscathed. Bottom of front panel corners.

Gonna have to learn some self control and just put the thing away in the pocket every once in a while, at least for the walk from the car to the office. Pocketability being one of the best parts about it afterall.

I feel like we should all have a moment of silence.

BB died today about 4pm - luckily I have spare batteries and a charger at work. Swapped them out and headed for home. 10min in to my 45min drive, my BB dies again -Arrgh! Thought those batteries were charged.... Fortunately I have a third pair on my person. :). 5min later my BB dies again!!??

Coincidence?? I think not. So I determined it fires for a couple vapes and then shuts off, leave it for a minute and it works again. Vape 2 to 4 puffs in a row and she turns off; noticed the top area above the switch, across from the mouth piece (where I place a finger) gets hot, once cooled off - vape

Ruh Roh....something's not right in BBville. <sad face>

Oh man... Is this the first recorded BB failure?

Nope. RichPA had what sounded like a similar failure last month. Not aware of any others.

By rough guesstimate that makes for about a .005% failure rate, maybe lower.
(Which, coincidentally, may turn out to be the Raven's success rate).

:)

Well, I think she's pretty much a goner. Only fires randomly now - time for a call to the big house. I've really had some crap luck with mods and it's certainly not for lack of care. First device I bought was a Sigelei Zmax when I quit smoking in January. Month and a half later the 510 connector popped out of it but thankfully the vendor Smoktek was very gracious and replaced the whole kit with a newer version. Bought a Reo Grand and it went from working great to working only barely so-so a week later. Sent it back (had to pay shipping both ways) and was told it was fine. Wound up paying an additional $40 for a repair kit and NOW it works fine (bad 510 connector pin!). Bought a KICK, died around the same time the Reo did - Evolv replaced it. <sigh> On a bright note I'm still inside my 30 day warranty on the BB so I'm sure Doug will take care it.

Just so sorry I have to give it up for the repair time as it's really been outstanding during the time that I've had it. It's like a lighter, put it in my pocket and go. I know I have enough juice and battery for an all day whatever and I just don't have to think about it. Looks great, super pocket-able and totally hassle free. I have to go out of town tomorrow and now I'm just not looking forward to it knowing I won't have my BB. Going to have to pack a freaking backpack with crap to make it thru the weekend now.

Man, I'm not sure I could go back to the eGos at work. While I have no doubt Doug will make it right, the thought of being even temporarily de-Billeted terrifies me, and you have my utmost sympathy, sir.

Heck, when my pipe was acting up I bought a second one so I wouldn't have to be without. That's not really an option with the BB atm.
