Didn't get comparison pics and measures of BB Diver* vs. Stock Diver - darn thing's still working so well I don't want to take anything part until I absolutely have to!

Have noticed a bit of condensation the couple of times I've checked; I think it's because the Diver's center pin is a bit proud of the threaded atty collar and doesn't slide up a bit when compressed like a carto does. Since the BB positive pin doesn't move either (ehem!) the bottom of the carto atty collar doesn't make with the silicon gasket. Solution is probably to pull it apart and shave just the right amount off the bottom of the Diver center pin so it seats just a bit deep of flush.

Other than that, really good performance. Coil/wick has settled, can move the voltage a bit without the drastic changes of before. Cool thing is that changing flavors is fast - no more waiting for the new flavor to leach the old one out of the carto filler.

Wondering about future dry burns. DD, what do you think -- when the time comes, will that tank stand up to a dry burn with the Diver inside or should it come out first?

Managed to make and test working NR-R-NR coil in the Stock Diver. Tricky, but easier once I learned about the Albright knot and decided that wasting a bit of wire was preferable to dinking around trying to get twists to work. Made and measured for 3.0 ohms, came out to just over 2.0 ohms ... Pretty sure the resistance wire was just a shade too short for the number of wraps, making the R/NR knots too close to the wick and allowing contact between the knots and the first full coil on either side -- effectively shortening the working length of the coil. Practice=perfect; will get there eventually.

Anywho - continuing report is the Diver is finicky to modify and set up for the BB, but once it's dialed in it's pretty dang sweet.

(* BB Diver ... Mojo Risin'... hmmmm ... <grabs a pencil>)

93' bat-mobile. piece a cake.

Actually... Since you brought it up... I have a friend that is a professional cosplayer .. Her and her husband get paid to go to evens and dress up as whom ever.. She recently did a cat woman that was amazing, and DC contacted her for photo shoots and what not.. But anyway, long story short, they are building a batmobile, a real 89 batmobile :D

Should be finished in the fall .. So I'll take some pics with it (and my billet box of course)

i love all the modding ideas and will follow them closely, but i am so glad that the Billet Box is designed with simplicity in mind. i just punched and primed a plain old standard res boge carto, slid it in my 1 single solitary tank (lol-sorry, guys-i know you're taking enough hits about tank availability), filled it, and it's vaping beautifully. i'm still learning about wrapping coils, and rebuilds, and it all sounds and seems like it's going to be awesome when i get it, but thank god this thing works so well with the basics!

Billet Box Issue Resolved 100%

Well, apparently tech support is open at 10:00 pm on Saturday nights at Billet B■x Vapor!! Doug diagnosed the issue and resolved it within oh....30 seconds. He did so without calling me stupid, an idiot or referring to me in the third person. It was a bad cartomizer tripping the protection circuit which I was obviously clueless about as I had never encountered the problem before in other tanks and had not tried replacing said cartomizer. I do not, I repeat, DO NOT have to live without my Billet B■x thanks to Mr. Doug!! So what have we learned here folks?? A good cartomizer can become a bad cartomizer in the blink of an eye but will fire sporadically. Doug is just as awesome at tech support as he is at building Billet Boxes and juggling a hundred other priorities. Ravens are fairly inconsistent, but work well when they're working.....

Wow glad to hear that your BB is going strong! It just speaks to the BB as a great device and Doug and friends as a great company! Where else do you find live customer support @ 10 PM on a Saturday! That is a stand up company and product anyway you look at it! Thanks Doug and Family for all you do!

hows it working so far???

LOL, I have no clue. It can only work in a BB which I won't have in my hands till June.

There is no reason that it should not vape just like a Kanger Pro Tank. Which themselves are quite good, but are outstanding once I re-wick them with hemp wicks. BTW, the heads are easily rebuild-able, or replaceable if one is not of the fiddling type.

Without a tank to try it in, the only unknown is whether or not the base will make a seal to the bottom tank o-ring, or be just a hair too low to make a seal.

How awesome is that! Nothing like excellent customer service to back an already awesome product! Glad you got it resolved!
