Well still loving my BB. Like others have experienced though my black lettering is coming off. To be honest it does not bother me EXCEPT mine is coming off the numbers for volts....the bad thing about that is I have a hard time seeing them :(. That kind of sucks. I can't remember what Doug said we could do, use a sharpie??? It is such a small area where (for me) distinctness is necessary.

thanks, SE. I'm just being extra cautious until i get some spare tanks. i've had good luck with the boges i have on hand (which is good, because i have a #$&l-load of them!), but every once in a while, i get the dud. i have some smok's laying around somewhere...and i swear i've seen some non-flanged ones before. just can't find them now to save my life.

I have some 1.7 Ohm "mini-resurrector" smok cartos that are standard length and non-flanged. They're a little low in resistance to put in the BB, but they'd work at the BB's lowest setting and be pumping out about 9.4 Watts.

Well, among the gun nut community it's common to use wax crayons to fill in engraved bits. Just rub it in and then wipe off the excess. Not permanent, but it's easy and you have quite the selection of colors to choose from.

(Helps to heat the part first. Heat gun, hair dryer, oven, whatever you've got...)

Hah np. I've actually never tried a Smoktech carto other than the regular DCT ones. If you find some, let me know lol.

Perhaps. This trick is more for the guys who have AR safety levers that read "SAFE, FIRE, ZOMBIES!", not for filling in the engraving on your grandfather's Browning Auto-5... :D

Never understood having three settings on the selector switch when only two of them work, be like the BB dial reading up to 7 volts but not going higher than 5.

I am having an unusual problem with my precious BB.

I put a new tank in the BB on Saturday. This was after I had changed the o-rings and put in a new carto. I had no problems with leaking at all until yesterday noon. Eliquid was all over the inside of the BB! I checked everything and could not ascertain where it was leaking from. Cleaned it, put it together and within a couple of hours it leaked again.

This time after I cleaned it I left the door off to see if I could see where the eliquid was coming from. It has not leaked since. I'm kind of afraid to put the door back on!

Anyone have any ideas?

If the o-rings were new and not damaged by the new cartomizer, the most likely culprit (I think) would be the black nitrile ball not fully seating after filling the tank.

If that seems like a possibility, after filling make sure to press on the clear face of the tank a few times after any fill through the hole/ball valve. That should seat the ball. However, if you see any bubbles in the ball area during this operation, use the plastic dispensing needle to kind of "roll" the ball a little bit to establish a good seal that does not bubble when the face is pressed.

Also, never use steel needles (even blunted ones) to fill the tank through the ball valve. They can nick the ball and lead to a bad seal.

Hope this helps. . . .

Has anyone noticed that you can kind of adjust the draw by how high or low the cartomizer sits in the tank? If the edge of the bottom of the carto is flush with the tank, I get a bit of an airier draw. If it's extruding just a bit (maybe 1mm), I'll get a tighter draw. Kinda nifty IMO.

Hmm, i need to try that out. I always put it sunken just a tad more than flush so that the tank bottom lines up perfectly with the metal plate in the BB. Just my OCD liking things to line up, I guess. I'll move it around to see what changes with draw.

Ok grinding is back after a day! I need a new ball bearing for the door does anyone know the size? The door has put gouges into the ball and it keeps locking into them and then grinding and sounds like its tearing metal up.

Any links to the correct ball bearing pref a buy it now page where i can buy a load plz.

Also my tank seaps from all gasket walls ive noticed! is there a fix for this?Or do i need a new tank?

Love the mod but its not holding up well after a week of ownership it seems.:( any help getting this thing to how it should be would be great.
