Take a look here.....
First off thanks to Dan and Vapian for inspiring me... as well as the diver!
But most of all DD for the box without it I wouldnt even have cared and still pulling my hair out with genesis attys.

I've put together a pretty quick and simple rba using a old carto tube and a new ce3

Its been vaping up a storm for about a half hour in the bb

I'm by no means a man of many plans so you will notvsee the details you do with those awesome write ups we see here:p

The pics should allow you to see what I did... the best part is I'm not using any nr legs.

This is just .28 kanthal about 5/6 wraps reading about 2.5 or so.. I am running tge bb turned down all the way so it might be a tad lr.

Testing continues......

Great Job,

Out of curiousity why did you not cut the carto tube as such:

That way you could press the carto cover down onto the protruding wick restricting it from flooding.
Is the Coil cup ceramic or silicone?

Thanks Dan.
The cup is ceramic., I really did not think about the cut other than where the wicks location was. I was trying to keep the wick internal behind the slots.

I was really trying for a "one size fits all" where there is no real need for metering other than maybe a rotation of the tube.

I set the wick ends up like the diver and I'm lined up with the slots.. so far so good no leaking. Occasionally need for a primer puff, although not lately..

Hey everybody.
Switched from a desk job to Apprentice Electrician over the past month so BB is now in much more extreme conditions and she's not missing a beat.
Everything working perfectly, low maintenance, excellent vaping.
The Cadillac I compared the BB to has been in the shop for a week now for just a passenger side window so that means skateboarding with the BB in my pocket and she's still going strong through that.
Been doing my share of BB promotion because I get STOPPED in the streets at least once a week by fascinated people and fiendish vapers and I tell em where to go for this beautiful device.

Congrats Doug on the grapefruit in bloom!

I was helping my roommate replace the alternator on his Focus over the weekend. Ok, not helping, doing. He's so clueless it's depressing. Also, you literally have to move the engine to get the damn thing out. I'm obviously spoiled by a lifetime of working on older cars where the alternator is a fifteen minute job easily done in a parking lot. I could drop a Beetle engine in the time this took.

In any case, there was much cursing and vaping. And my BB was thoroughly filthy by the end of it. Nasty black gunk everywhere, so much crud on the brass ring that it was misfiring, and I think some got down to the tank and crept under the edge of the face.

Quick field strip and wipedown and it's working a charm again.

Billet Box: Built a helluva lot better than your average Ford.

Thanks for the links guys!

Quick question: My carto's been flooding all day today, but it's also 95 degrees outside. Does heat have any influence on this?

Yes it lowers the viscosity of the juice (it makes it more runny) :)

Good news I got the BB in from Hokus today and got the modelx v2 installed. Video is currently uploading now. I am going to see into darkness and after earth tonight with the wife, So I will post it when I get back!
BTW it is working flawlessly!!

Most definitely.. ALL of my clearos will do this when the heat rises. Not sure there is anything ya can do about it..although I now keep all mine in my "cooler" when I am at work...

You should be able to fix the air flow problem if you drill an air hole like I did at an angle in the base of ModelX.

Hopefully I can get to that next weekend - or maybe some evening this week if the weather keeps me from working the projects I didn't get to last weekend. :) Been blowing off some maintenance and projects around the house for a while, need to spend some time on that for a bit. Will be back on the mucking-about horse soon, though!

Wow so slow in here of late. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Well I am so happy right now I just finished makin my own coil for my baby t3 for the volt. Took me a little over an hour to do the screw wrap and tore up several pieces of silica, but ohhhh well got a nice coil in the long run. Got it in and all pinned up and stuck it on the battery and it lit up and all nicely spaced. But dang can't vape it yet cause it wont work on my little black ohm reader even with the 510 to 808 d tank adaptor. Any of you all could tell me what I can use to try this out with the box. It is for the Volt batterys not a 510, has the ego end thou. Would really like to try it out to see how it will vape.
Thanks to all of you on ECF and a bunch on U-tube to for all the helpful info and vids. Hope all is going well with all you modders on here.
Don't all ways understand a lot of what u are doing but still come away with good info for other things.
