I hope you're ready to ask the tough questions...

--What do you think about APVs?
--What do you think about the availability of juice refill liquid?

I would LOVE to hear the answers to those questions!!
I will ask any and all questions. If you would like DC2 just e-mail me any questions you have to info@vapersplace.com and I will make sure to ask them :)

Blu has never ever done anything that wasn't well thought out in advance and has never been less than professional. Their business plan has and always will be focused on the mass market.

Interesting interview ...

No real surprises. Blu is focused on the brand name market and not concerned with MODs or bottled juices. Their focus is on improving the e-cig to have a very effective and simple device to use.

Q: What about the upcoming battle with the FDA regarding bottle juices?
A: That's going to be a tough battle to win. It’s a lot harder to control loose juice hanging around in bottles than to control it in the device to make it harder to tamper with. Bottle juices may go by the wayside. The important thing is for e-cigs to survive.

Blu will not fight for bottle juices but will fight for flavors and nicotine levels.

One (1) blu e-cig is equivalent to 2 packs of cigarettes, but the user only gets the equivalent of nicotine in 1 regular cigarette (absorption thing). No Science for the FDA to fight for lower nicotine levels.

The incorrect assumption is if Blu doesn't do something then Blu is against it.

The FDA is not ignorant of the truth ... They know the truth. It's not going to be a fight per se as much as its going to be an intense process requiring research that is on-going.

Much more was discussed. For those who missed the show ...
I suggest downloading and listening to the interview. LINK
:)

Petrodus, I have to agree with you, this guy made it perfectly clear that were(the industry as a whole) going to have to give up/compromise some things when push comes to shove, to keep the industry alive. He would like nothing more than for that to be "loose juice". His vision of the industry is Blu and Blu refills period. I think its funny how the host didnt ask about the quality of Blu or put him on the spot when he said 1 disposable = 2 packs. Which in turn has the nic content of 1 cigarette. He basically said his product was crap. Granted by him saying that e cigs are only 20% of what they could be he's admitting that w/o coming right out and saying that.
I also found it amusing how he feels we do not want him at such functions as Vapestock. I will loosley quote him as saying we see him as the anti vaper/hobbyist.
It was good to hear his thoughts, but it doesn't change my opinions of how this ends up. I stick by the fact that we are at the end of the golden age of vaping, and I'm glad I got to experience it before the man ruins it.
Thanks for the link.

Jason Healy said on several occasions regarding our hobby interests ...
"That's fine ... Its just not for Blu"

What he basically is saying ...
If your looking for someone to champion APVs and bottled juices ...
Don't look to Blu ... Find another champion willing to take on what
will probably be a lost cause.

I doubt any other BT companies, when they jump in, will be willing to
champion APVs and bottle juices.

Marketers of APVs and bottled juices should organize and solicit funding
for the upcoming fight with the FDA. They won't do it ... they are just
hoping a knight in shinning white armor will ride on to the scene.
That won't happen either.

Of course he wasn't going to come right out and say openly that he would happily throw the rest of the industry under the bus, but that's the tacit message I got from him. He made it quite clear that he intends to fight for his own business model, and not anybody else's. I think he understands very well that if the hobbyist side of the industry goes under to regulation, his own products are going to pick up at least part of the business that is thereby made available.

On a side note, I was disappointed to learn that the man is still an analog smoker. That should be another clue that he just doesn't get it.

Roly said ECF was delaying the release of EMSS because an unnamed few vendors were in talks about starting a self regulating body. I was part of the thread a few days ago.
