I just had all most posts on e-cigs edited off the Canadian Cancer Society's stop smoking web forum!!!
And NO I was not trying to sell product or once made mention of my store, in public or private. I have a business, and above all I have myself. My posts on there were personal to deal with my transition from smoker to non-smoker. I had been on that forum from many failed attempts before. On that personal level I would be more than happy for someone to quit using products from any vendor. I'd much rather have that, over someone like myself, dying because they were UNABLE to quit.
When I posted my e-cig experience, the responses were all "Health Canada doesn't approve". My response was to post Health Canada's warning, linked, along with the link found here to the university of Alberta's smoking alternative website.
I made the point that heath canada, by their own admission has done ZERO research and their only comment is possible nicotine poisoning, which also applies to the products in the next paragraph, gum, patch ect which they state they approve, but fail to mention they have the same potential hazard.
That was enough to get my rebuttal deleted, but all the attacks on e-cigs to remain, along with a posting from the mod paraphrasing the health canada ignorant warning.
Like even the Canadian Cancer Society!!!!! You know that one you buy the daffodils in spring and donate to, hoping to save a life!!! Is there any origination in this country that isn't completely ignorant (not likely) or bought off by some commercial interest (10 bucks says they get large donations from the makers of the patch and gum)???
Call to arms here folks!!! Go to their website
www.smokershelpline.ca
join and tell your story on how e-cigs are SAVEING YOUR LIFE!! Lets get our voice out there, lets return the favor and save some lives..
Again I am not bought off, and this has nothing to do with my business, some things are more important than a buck. If asked by someone on the forum, please recommend your favorite Canadian vendor (other than me), or your source.
