Fooling around with stuff while waiting for a parts shipment to arrive. Bored!
Had one of these LED lights laying around for years. Has a slide switch and belt clip. Can still be found on Amazon.

Took out the slide switch and put in push button. Wired it to positive side. There is room for an LED if you like.

After removing end cap and LED. The end has 2 holes where the bulb goes, test to find positive hole.

Wired a 510 atty connector so that wires fit into LED end holes.

Fit the connector into holes and replaced screw-on cap.

The cap keeps connector in place really well. Screw on atty. Put in some 10440 batteries. I keep one real low on charge so the voltage is around 4. Did not feel like adding resistance right now. Ha.

And there you have it...The Cool-Whip.

Awesome!!! I have one of those lights right next to me... have had it for years... never really used it as a light but I see a great future for it now!!! I'm waiting for an atty to finish my "Puck" battery mod. Looks like i'll be picking up some more parts for this one!

Very inspirational!!

"Coolo Whip" lol.... I love it!!!

Regards!

btw: It's a "Zelco long reach book light" Model 900003

You can get it for $18 on ebay (item# 320554977921) and a google search showed $15+/- w/o shipping.
