The DEW -"Gamefuel" Project

ok so i love mtn dew gamefuel, so much so i stockpile it when its available. because it seems to only pop on shelves when world of warcraft or halo make a new expansion.

but anyways, its a cherry citrus blend of mtn dew. as i try to mix and match flavors ill post the results here in case anyoen else is after this flavor.

im hoping some of you have tried to reproduce the flavor, if not any suggestion is welcome. or if perhaps one of you is a retailer that can mix a batch up and give it a try you would very easily have a customer buying LOTS of the stuff.

so far i went to vaporgod and used the flavor lab

havent got my order in yet but heres how i ordered it

mtn dew/ cherry i asked vapor god to double the dew flavoring and half the cherry
mtn dew/ black cherry same as above double shots of dew flavor and half shot of black cherry.
(im using them because they mix flavors to order in the flavor lab, as far as i know)

i have considered using a premixed "sun drop" with mtn dew and cherry flavor to get the right mix but idk. sun drop is kind of stong on the citrus end of the flavor.

just ordered another batch from the soda fountain over at ecblend using the create your own options
(i ordered dragon fire because damn it looks tasty)

again ill post back with my opinions of the flavors taste

hopefully my expirementing will help make this flavor.

as always, if one of you vendor types trys the drink and comes up with a great mix let me know i will buy it try it and very likely be ordering more.

ok so the orders from vapor god:
double mtn dew half cherry:
- too much cherry, though almost dead on for a mtndew code red flavor, could use a little more dew and less cherry though.
double mtn dew half black cherry
- alot closer but still too much cherry flavor

the orders from ecblend are steeping atm and the one with orange in the mix has some promise. i vaped a carto of it today and its damn close, still a bit perfumey flavored but im sure that will dissipate after more sitting, shaking and sitting then perhaps some wishing.
the other blend without the orange add is still very close but not quite there.

from now on i will be using ECBlends create your own option, simply because it gives me more control over the percentages of what flavor is what.

my next mix will likely be something to the effect of ordering a double strength dew with enhanced sweetner and a bottle of cherry and a bottle of orange and mixing in a seperate bottle.

but so far the gamefuel2 flavor is the closest. it may even be perfect with the enhanced sweetner options ecblend offers.

Oh.. unrelated but does that mean they are selling it at stores right now? I remember hearing another Halo came out recently.

i have a standing weekley order of 50 20oz bottles at my local gas station. they're giving me a deal too, a buck a bottle!

( id not drink 50 bottles a week, but i do like to have lots on hand for when the promotion ends)

UPDATE

sadly none of theo rdered flavors were "up to par" so i took and mixed them all. one was too muc h cherry one too much orange etc...

combined after a few days of steeping the mix is actually suprisingly close, though a bit light in the flavor dept. not that its muddied by all the flavors mixed it just tastes weak. i think im gonna order another of the mixes i got from ECBlend and add it to this, or perhaps just a really strong mtn dew cherry orange and drop that in. all in all im getting really close to the exact flavor!

I do know DFW Vapor makes a MT Dew. It's super close the real Dew, but cherry, I go to a fairly new 'shop' that doesnt even have a website yet to get my black cherry. I did find, a DIY site that looks very promising, Double Mint E-Liquid. I gotta try them......Pls let us know how your hunt goes

Got another order in today, though not part of this project.

I ordered some "Ecto Cooler" from Mt. baker and it was pretty damn awesome right out of the shipping envelope. But the citrus flavoring is throwing me. Is it pineapple, orange ??? I mention this because it has a very decent citrus flavor to it and could actually be something i could mix with cherry and mtn dew to achieve the goal of replicating gamefuel.
